I agree I've never been able to access this account online, however I do get a monthly statement so its never really been too much of an issue! I just make a transfer direct from my bank account each month, which is easy to keep track of. I use this card for buying from the topshop website, as I always buy 2 sizes and send one back, then pay for what ive actually kept, that way I dont have to wait for the refund to go back into my account each time. “Stay away!”

I got this TOPSHOP card when I first turn 18, 12 years ago. It was okay. I got discounts and I could access my account via TOPSHOP store, where the advisor could ring up for the balance. It has always been an expensive card to have, but I found that if I paid it off in the correct time scale all was well. This was when GE CAPITOL ran the store card. “Disappointing as I love Topshop!!”

Never been able to manage my account online. When I have called customer services, whoever I have spoken to doesn't understand what I'm asking and just keeps repeating the same thing like a robot. As promised when I signed up I have never received any of the so called perks of having a card. I never had any vouchers for joining, don't get preview sale emails or further discount on sales items within the first week. I would absolutely agree. I too can never log on... It just sits there after I enter account number and password and doesn't even acknowledge you've pressed enter. But the do they provide a 10 pence a minute phone number... ARE THEY NOT CHARGING US ENOUGH?!! I've received no discounts... just chance to be entered into a draw for a make-up bag full of make up worth £75....as long as I spend over £75.... Gosh, they do think I'm a Spanner.

When I first starting using the Topshop card I was in awe as it was my first store card and really helped out paying after getting the item/items. This awe soon ended when it came to having to pay, Topshop make it practically impossible to be able to pay easily (Don't be fooled by the ads as I was). “Pathetic Customer Management”

If you get this card, you cannot check your statements online unless you have a very dated version of Internet Explorer, version 7 or below. It will not work on an Android, IPhone, IPad, Safari, Mac, Firefox etc.. Which in this day and age is appalling. You have to call a premium number to get your balance! The call centre is based in India, so there's a language barrier there and very scripted conversations. What you have written has resonated with me. I have had this card for over a year and never been able to check my account online, I have contacted them several times about this and only just now has someone told me its because I have a mac. I don't use this card that much so I never thought about it but am now furious at all the time I have wasted trying to check balances and being fobbed off like I'm stupid not being able to get online (all at my phone expense too).

I agree with you that in 2013 this being the case, and with such big companies as TopShop and Santander is ridiculous and have just told the customer services adviser so and that they will be losing my business and as soon as I get the paper statement and can actually find out what I owe I will be cancelling this card!

It almost feels like a ploy for people to miss payments and therefore get charged (which has happened to me).

TopShop is mainly aimed at young people who use computers for everything so how this is the case I really am shocked about. I have never had such a problem with any other credit card.

Get your act together TopShop, its 2013!

“Unable to manage card online!!”

Wish I could actually give this zero stars as this is really what it deserves. I am so disappointed with the services for this card, have had it for over a year and have never been able to log in to my online account. Customer services can provide no explanation, and charge callers - would have expected a free-phone number from such a large company. I have had my Topshop store card for a number of years and generally have no major issues with this. A massive bugbear for me though is not being able to manage my account online, this appears to have been unavailable for a number of months whilst they "update their site". “Invoice/statement wasn't recieved”

I would not every deal with Santander again!!!!!!!! I have paid off the balance of £132 so I don't have to deal with them. I got a new Miss Selfridge store card and paid the first payment and I realized on the date of next payment that my statement hadn't arrived I phoned up to explain that I haven't received this statement and they were not interested. “absolute rip off”

i moved homes and told them my new address they failed to change it on the system, i gave them direct debit details to set up a direct debit, they failed to do this, i have now incurred over fifty pounds worth of charges and i am not happy. I tried to pay today to be told i needed to pay 69 pounds to bring it up to date and they would not remove any charges although the advisor somehow changed his minds and removed two charges when i made the payment. “Worst Customer Service EVER!!! from Santander Cards”

I just want to shout to the world now and tell the world not to get involved with Santander. They have the most appalling customer service ever. They are big liars and rip offs. They charge you extra for everything. Big lesson learned! Oh Wish I knew and never got a card. opened up the account simply to build up my credit rating. as soon as the card came through the post, i paid off the money i owed from opening up the card, i then bought 2 other things off the card and paid the money back straight away (literally a mattter of 20 minutes and did it in store) but trying to refister my card on the topshop website which is 'simple and easy' according to the assistant, is impossible! all i want to do is view my oustanding balance to see how much money i need to pay… Read Full Review

I can't remember when I got persauded to get the topshop card ( it was at least a year ago) and I have been unable to register online too, and they can't tell you instore how much you have left on your account and (if I remember correctly) they couldn't tell me when I tried making a payment over the phone :@. Luckily I had only made one purchase and still had the receipt so I paid it off in full, but since then I've never bothered to use the card as it's too much hassle.

However, now I've learned that there is a dormancy fee (although when I asked the lady who was getting me to sign up for it, if there was any fees for not using the card she explicilty said there wasn't) I don't kbnow whether I should just go buy something before I cancel it, since I haven't used it for at least a year, but then I have another problem as there is no longer a topshop near me as it closed down. Absolute nightmare!

You are entitled to an exchange without the card; however, you should receive the card within 5 working days of opening the account.

As a user of the Topshop card, I would recommend that you pay for the items on the card immediately and cancel it!
The Topshop card has a really high interest rate; and has caused me and my friends major stress over the years as the interest makes it impossible to pay off!

Luckily I have managed to pay it off after two years, but it really isn't worth the hassle! That is how they are able to be so successful!

“Rip off!”

I have paid my topshop card religiously for the past five years, never missed a payment...yet when I paid on the actual statement date (2nd of March 2012) they have allocated it to the previous statement saying you're not allowed to pay on the statement date...it has to be the day after! Rubbish! Called them up about it as my normal £10 had changed into £30 as I have incurred a late fee and they say I have missed a month! Ive had my topshop card for 2 years now and have always had problems with the website. I would try and make a payment and it would tell me it hadnt been successful (nothing to do with my debit card) the past 3 months I have been unable to log in at all!! The website just doesnt load.
