I have a new look store card now and set my limit at £100 so i didnt go crazy but after reading these reviews i think im going to pay it off and snap the thing if its this much hassle. i like that you can buy things and then re-pay them gradually but i dont see the point in it if there going to charge you tonnes of money. if i would have known the arrears charges before then i wouldn't have said yes to one. they should tell you these things before but they aint even in the small print. i a ...- Read Guest's review (121 words)

new look is the worst store card i have ever had, if u go a penny over they put charges on that u have to remortgage ur house to pay off, they put that much on mine that im still paying off six years later and thats just the iterest thats without buying anything.
a few month after i had it i cut it up and threw it in the bin and thats the best place for new look store card. i highly recomend that u DONT get one- Read laurachafer's review (112 words)

i love new look as a store, great clothes at great prices.
The New Look store card is hard to pay off. they charge you constantly so much so that when you ring customer services to arrange it to be dealt with they constantly cannot help you, the company procedures were the card is concerned wont win them any custom. i know alot of people that are not satisfied with the service and are complaining.- Read Guest's review (79 words)

The New Look Store Card is a good way to prioritise your spendings. i liked the idea about saving money on your purchase. i also like the fact i can go in store and pay off my card when i want to. I also get free stuff on promo's and free goody bags and i also get the chance to win various tickets.- Read Guest's review (67 words)

I paid off my new look store card account based on a recent bill then I called and closed the account. I moved house and did not inform them of the address change. The new tennants did not pass on my letters and this company made no effort to call or email me. when I was finally given my post I had many letters saying that I was in arrears. I called the company to question this and they were rude, pretended that they had no record of my call and told me that my account had been passed to another ...- Read NRM's review (198 words)

I took a new look card and when I had my statement through my boyfriend moved it whilst tidying up I forgot about it, when I found it, it was past the due date by 2 days but because I paid the full amount I haven ' t been charged for a late payment. I found this very good of them.- Read Guest's review (59 words)

I have never had a problem with my New Look store card. If I used it I always pay it off when I get paid. I don ' t go mad with it and I don ' t think interest rate is high. I think it is fair if you ' re wanting to use someone ' s money to buy something then you have to be responsible to paying it back. I love my New Look Card and love the offers I get with it.
I would totally reccomend a New Look Card. Pay it off when you get your bill in, if you know you can't. Don't use it!- Read Guest's review (108 words)

Great store, best shoes for the money. Love the pink card and encourages me to shop at this store instead of more expensive ones.
Make sure you pay on time - I set up a DD so it never causes me a problem.- Read BernieS's review (48 words)

Store cards are only going to get you into debt if you let them. If you choose a £500 limit & splash out on a good few hundred pounds worth of purchases which you can't pay back, you're bound to get into trouble.
YES, the interest rate is high BUT most are. Plus, if you're sensible and get a £50 - £100 limit (or whatever you can afford) AND pay back in the stated time which should always be taken into account....the interest is only going to be a few pounds!
In conclusion; ...- Read ZigZagZig's review (125 words)

I have never had any problems with the New Look Store Card. The only reason people get charged is because they haven't paid and yes these fees are extortionate but they are everywhere no matter what store card - I my USC card. Just pay these on time and you won't get charges. As for discount i got 30% and my interest is really really low.- Read lollozam's review (65 words)

I rang up to ask for the full amount I owed which they told me, and I paid it off in full there and then.
I then received a statement saying I owed around £1.40.
I rang back and asked what it was and they said it was interest - they did not include the interest I owed when I rang to ask what my balance was.
I offered to pay the interest off on the phone but they wouldn't accept such a small amount and told me to pay in-store which is so inconvenient.
Once you open a card with them they for ...- Read smorbey's review (121 words)

Originally opened the card with them for the promised discounts. I received the card and my first bill pretty much straight away which I paid off with their telephone banking system. In order for me to keep on using the card I had to phone a telephone number to get the card registered. Well I've had the card 5 months now and still cannot get through to their customer services to register it! They can contact me quite easy though just to ask if I want to protect my card if I fell out of work etc ...- Read Lundyloo's review (152 words)

They have charged over £100 in fees. I pleaded with them to remove the fees, not the money I owed them, I knew I needed to pay that. But they insisted on leaving the charges on. I have had to borrow money to pay them in full, weeks ago. And then I get another statement starting the whole thing off again trying to charge me another £12. And with it a letter urging me to use my available credit, knowing that I have had huge difficulties paying them off which they were totally disintere ...- Read newlooknightmare's review (95 words and 1 comment)
