It started ejecting all paper once turned on to print anything as well as eats paper and shreds it up when re loaded.

I purchased this printer after having the exact same thing happen to my previous print which was an Epson CX 5400.

The exact same problem happened to me with two other identical printers! I am very disappointed because I only got to change the ink in the latest one one time before it stops working.
Very disapointed i paid $179.99 and $199.99 for them each and neither one will w ...

A very aggravating, irritating and frustrating piece of equipment. Cost per page must be very high because I usually gave up and could get very few printing tasks completed.

Having spent £70 + a fortune in ink the black ink nozzle on my Epson Stylus C64 printer seems terminally blocked. It does not get used daily but does get used fairly often and after only a year I'm not happy. I may try to buy a cleaning kit. But this is more money and the utility head cleaner uses loads of ink and seems ineffective. The cartridges cost a fortune and I don't see why Epson chip them except to get more money out of me. I can buy a colour laser printer now for under £2 ...

It seems all Epson Inkjet printers have the same problem. When you change a ink cartidge with their brand ink cartidge, and do not change it immediarely, it does not print. I have purchased my last EPSON product and will recommend to my customers that they look for another brand. I called Epson and requested to speak to their customer satisfaction department in California. I was informed they do not talk to the public, that it was the support complaint line's job to stop any calls to their offi ...

The Epson Stylus C64 printer has a reasonable build quality, and it prints quite quickly and quietly.

The running costs are only reasonable when using inexpensive, compatible manufactured ink-tank cartridges. Therefore, Epson's 'Durabrite' long-lasting inks are far too expensive for most users.

The printer needs to be used frequently, both for black & white and colour print output, otherwise the fixed print heads (black and colours) dry out and stop printing.

    A typical Epson printer - ...

The Epson Stylus C64 is a bad printer. I print a page and it prints blank. I install a new ink cartridge and it tells me it is half empty. I am not happy at all with this printer.

Epson makes dodgy Printers!! They electronically cripple their cartridges so that you can't refill them, or even use the entire amounts inside each cartridge. I bought a C63 a while back, with separate cartridges for each colour, "more economical apparently"

Each cart cost 25 dollars AU, and you need 4 so 4x25 = 100.

My previous cannon with all in one cart cost 50-60 bucks.

Each cartridge has a chip, that tells the printer it's empty, even when sometimes it's not, and the printer r ...

This Epson Stylus C64 printer is not worth the price. Buy a laser-jet instead.

I previously had an Epson C82 printer which I had no complaints with but through my own fault I had to replace it. The C64 was on offer and it was cheaper to buy it than buy cartridges for the C82. The first thing I noticed was the lack of a mains lead. I don't expect to have USB cables supplied but I did expect a mains cable. The printer is very slow and if paper is not inserted carefully it jams easily. The top of the paper also has feed marks. So far I have only used Epson inks and have no co ...

I've been using Epson for the last 10 years, but the Epson Stylus C64 Inkjet printer is the last straw. What a rip off! They came out with this Durasometing waterproof ink which cost half the price of the printer, runs out fast, and on top of this, you can't print a black ink only document if other ink cartrige is empty! Why is that?
That's it. This is the last Epson printer for me.

This Epson Stylus C64 inkjet printer has four seperate ink-tanks each using Epson's "Durabrite" pigmented ink for waterproof and lightfast (i.e. fade resistant) printouts. A full set of original Epson carts cost around £45 so printing out photo's on a regular basis is going to be expensive. (I will post results here on Print-Rite C64 pigmented compatibles available for £25, so far seem good!) It also seems happiest printing on Epsons own durabrite photo and matt paper rather than glo ...

When the ink in my Lexmark Z52 ran out, I decided, considering how expensive Lexmark cartridges are to buy a new and more economical printer. I went for the Epson Stylus C64, which seemed like a bargain considering it's separate ink tanks. However print quality was great on plain paper, it's performance on glossy paper was poor - the prints have an almost matt finish. After about three weeks the problems really began. First, the cartridges ran out. Now i don't use my printer heavily and the lexm ...

The Epson Epson Stylus C64 Photo edition offers superb photo quality. Prints silver and gold objects with total reality. Very fast in draft mode. 3 separate colour cartridges are convenient for replacement. B+W print excellent in quality mode.
But, the C64 is a real inkdrinker. Very slow to start. B+W print in draft mode not so hot. Doesn't appear to respond to High, Medium or Low quality print in music printing programmes. At nearly £10 each for 8ml, the 3 colour cartridges are very pric ...

I puchased the Epson Stylus C64 Inkjet Printer from comet in January 2004, I took it back within one week with faults and they refused to do anything about it. I must point out here that I have purchased many things from comet in the past and most have developed faults at some time and I would just like to say that comet offer no after sales service at all, (never again). Anyway back to the printer. It was very slow to warm up, very slow operating, drank ink like no other printer, chewed paper, ...

Our first epson was a photo 785 epx. It was expensive and noisy. The Epson Stylus C64 prints just as good for a lot less money-and it's much quieter. i have to look at it to be sure it's printing. Throw those lexmarks in the recycle bin where they belong!
