Good Points: Sterling Silver bell for quick response and projection, reversed tune pipe, dual tone gold and good valves.

Bad Points: Feels heavy in your hands.

General comments: I bought the 2070SGX Large bore model and the sound is fat, dark and sexy. The trumpet in my opinion is excellent for Jazz and can play very well on Sax section. I can't comment on the over all performance as compared to my vitage SIlvertones,Silversonic and Silver Flare response as the valves need to brake in, the horn looks brand new even though it was advertized as a used horn. I played a Silversonic Super 20 Synphony DB .468, Sylvertone MB .445, Kanstul WB .460, 67 Silver Flair .462 and the 2070 one after the other and asked my wife to blind judge the sound. She picked the 2070 and the Kanstul WB as far as sound. But then again I was playing some bossa, and a sexy dark sound is a must. Over all is a nice horn for the price and I think is a keeper for any King fans out there.

One tremendous horn! I am a proud owner for years and I hope for many years to come!
Blows unbelievable open and easy, while on stage you could peel away the wallpaper on the other side of he hall with ease! no breaking up!
Flawless construction and superior quality, I love "my" kong legend!
10 out of 10 points! Too bad they aren't made anymore.

I found this trumpet on ebay and took a wild leap at buying it. Man, this was a great buy. The price was okay, since it is used, but it looks practlly new. I love the dark tone it produces, perfect for the music I play (mariachi), I have a bach strad # 37, but I prefer the sound that this one has. This is such and awsome horn, don't know why it ain't out there in the open like the the Strad or the Yamaha horns. I read somewhere that this is now the constellation trumpet, but I'm not so sure. Any ...

This is my first trumpet. I've played a King cornet that I bought for $50, for years. When I took a first chair in a community Jazz Band I needed to step up. This trumpet fits the bill. Ask of this trumpet what you will and it will deliver. I have yet to overpower it. The clincher on this purchase was when the store attendant (who was not a trumpet player) gave me a blind listening test. Even in her hands, this trumpet spoke with authority.

I am very pleased with the King 2070 horn. I have the larger bore size. I would have liked to have had the 2 tuning slides and the double case a'la the Conn V-1 but then it would no longer be cheaper than the V-1. The other players in my jazz ensemble said I have a fatter sound with this horn than I did with my Bach 37. This horn plays so in tune I had to unlearn some bad habits I picked up from trying to get my Back to play in tune! Over all this is a good lookin' horn that is fun to play a ...

It is too bad that there is not a lot of feedback on the king model 2070. It is really a great horn. I played a Bach #43SP for many years that I bought in the late 70's. I really loved that horn, but the KING is superior in response and ease in the high register.
