Good Points: Compacted neat and tidy!

General comments: I recently bought the Morphy Richards 48900 Steel food processor, as I needed a new one and it went with the rest of my chrome gadgets in the kitchen

SETTING IT UP
I hate complicated fixtures and fittings, but this is great. You simply lift the large processing bowl onto the base and click into position. Once secured, you attach the lid which also clicks in. I find this clicking in very handy, I like to know my machine is secure and safe for usage! All that's left to add now is the food 'pusher' which simply fits into the hole in the top of the lid, then hey! You're ready to go!

FINDING AND USING RIGHT TOOLS AND FITTINGS
All the tools that come with the processor fit nicely and easily onto the shaft in the middle of the processor. It comes with easy-to-use instructions for all these parts, but once you've used them once, you never forget. The blades are quite sharp so should be kept in safe storage. The blades are great for chopping all sorts of meat, and for smoothing out that homemade soup! The only fitting I found quite tricky at first was the slicing blade, but it can't be connected the wrong way, so it's just a case of trial and error. This is great for finely slicing veg for stir-frys or hotpots. The attachments that come with this processor are: Chopping blade, Dough Blade, Slicing Plate, Grating Plate, Large and Small Citrus Press, Citrus Strainer and even a spatula which I find very handy!

CARE AND CLEANING
Cleaning the processor is very easy! Just simply unplug after use and remove processor bowl and whichever tools you used, being careful with blades! If, like me, you have a dishwasher, the bowl cover, pusher, metal plates and blades can be washed in the dishwasher, the rest is just a case of washing in warm soapy water. For the chrome parts of the processor I clean with a damp cloth and then polish with glass cleaner, which makes it really shiny!

OVERALL
I find this gadget handy and easy to use. It's compact but does its job really well. It has easy-to-understand instructions, and even comes with recipes to try, which are quite simple to follow. I would recommend this product, and it's really handy for processing baby food like me! I bought my food processor from Sainsbury's for around £28 and it comes with a two year guarantee.
