Good Points: Inexpensive, reasonable design, easily accessible controls.
Bad Points: Cheap, lightweight subwoofer cabinet which provides negligible low frequencies. Poor midrange. My cheap old Yamaha YST-MS201 2.1 system provided superior & cleaner deep bass due to it's more solid subwoofer cabinet.
General comments: Paid $89 Canadian ($65 US) for this system. Certainly wipes out the other competition in that price range - even with the muddy low frequencies.

Altec Lansing 251 deliver amazing sound for the best price. When I needed a new set of speakers, this was definitely it. It has great sound for games and movies, and the best part is that you can use these speakers for almost anything, from game consoles, to home theater systems, to even portable cd players. Not only that but the price is unbelievable. I would recommend these speakers to anyone that needs great speakers for a great price!
