  Great sim. The follow up to the original IL2. Pacific Fighters followed it as an add on OR a stand alone flight sim.Now that it's 2008 don't buy either of them. Go buy IL2:1946.IL2:1946 contains Forgotten Battles, Pacific Fighters, and tons of extra aircraft all the way through version 4.07 of the game. In all there is 229 flyable aircraft in IL2:1946.Patch 4.08. 4.09 is in beta stage soon to be released.Probably the best WWII flight sim made to this point. ...

  I would recommend this game to loads of people but I would warn then about the slow loading. I would like to play some other games like this by Ubisoft because they are good

  IL-2 Forgotten Battles is my favorite airplane fight simulator.
  It has a lot of missions that are every time newly generated.
  There are a lot of greatest planes of WWII with realistic behavior and damage.
  Fights are very realistic and live.
  Great detailed graphics, all modeled very high quality.
  Champaign with military ranks that rise in time of service, medals, crew is changing during the progress like in a real war.
  I recommend this game to everybody who likes flight simulators of WWII; ...

  IL-2 Forgotten Battles is quite simply an excellent flight simulator and combat flight game rolled into one. Obviously, like any game, it has flaws. The main one being the loading time. Now, I have a good speed and graphics computer and it still takes quite a bit to load each mission (I would say around 2 minutes maximum) which when sitting there waiting for it is not fun. When it does get there though, the game is very realistic (you can tune the realism down or up before your campaign or missi ...
