Bad Points: There are no bad points.
General comments: Buy it with the compensator already installed. It will increase the FPS a little. Looks real and is very accurate. I can get 8 clips before the power drops off. And with Beeman Laser pellets, it is fast.
Single and double action work perfectly. The whole gun is very tight.
The magazines work in a variety of guns and that is a big plus.
I can hit a Pepsi can with all 8 shots from 50 feet away.
I know I know.
But rest assured, the Walther CP88 rocks!

I've had mine for several years now and still works fine and i have found that the best pellet for them is the Beisley magnums because they fit into the speed loader really nice and don't tend to jam it up when its moving onto the next round, it's also worth getting a silencer if your budget stretches that far, i made my own because i'm a clever dick, you can also get a red dot quite cheap for them too off ebay but i haven't tried one yet so cant comment but over all a fun thing to have

I have used this Walther CP 88 gun over 6 years, and I still love it. The accuracy of the CP 88 is marvelous. While using I never had trouble with malfunctioning. Also the system that is used for the placing of the CO2 fillet, is a very clever one. You will never lose gass, what is the case with a lot of CO2 guns. In Holland were I live, you can only get it in red and in (pain in the eyes) green. 6 years ago I paid 400 guilders, which is the same as 180 euro. In that time, it was one of the more ...

I first want to say I love the Walther CP 88 gun. I love it, because it is exactly what it's supposed to be. A hefty accurate looking toy to play with. This is not a competition target pistol, it's designed to look and feel enough like a real gun to be fun to plink with every once in a while. If you buy this gun because it's accurate or powerful your going to be disappointed, but if you want something cool to tinker around with, this is your piece.

The Walther CP 88 is a very well made air pistol, it shoots about 6000-8000 shots (with maintanence) before first malfunction in the trigger mechanism. So if you oil your gun every 500-700 shots and clean barrel every 250 shots - you wont get problems with the pistol for years.
Walther CP 88 feels like real, very ergonomic and comfortable in hand but its a bit hard to aim because of weight (1,08 kg - is easy to get with). The trigger is two stage and very soft. Recoil is very unsignificant.

I bought the 1st Walther CP 88 6 Air Rifle in black w/compensator about 2-3 years ago. Really liked the way it shot, nice grouping. I'm popping pine cones outta the trees at +/- 25 yds. For somne reason it made a strange/unfamiliar noise one day and just stopped shooting. By shooting, I mean she still went thru the motions, but had no CO2 power. I sent it in and she's been fixed. The 2nd CP also has the compensator, except I did the silver/nickel finish. First thing I notice is the finish is pit ...

I bought one of these Walther CP 88 6 air pistols from Pyramid Air...it was garbage. I gave Pyramid the benefit of the doubt and bought another because it was exactly the style I wanted. The second gun was also a piece of junk. Now I'm stuck with two of them...stupid me. Avoid this gun, it stinks!

I purchased the competition model with the longer barrel as I assumed the muzzle velocity would be a bit higher and the gun would fire more accurately. When the gun was delivered I was very pleased to find that it was heavy. Most of the Airpistols I have owned were constructed of maily plastic with some metal internals. This gun is made up of mostly metal and of very high quality. The typical CO2 cartridge screw found on many airpistols is non existant as this gun uses a lever at the butt of the ...

I am now on my second Walther CP 88 6. The first one was wildly inaccurate and would barely reach a ten metre tasrget. The replacement is a little better. Yes it would reach a ten metre standard pistol target....but only if you aimed at the top of the target. You might get all 8 shots on the target but as for grouping...forget it. About 18" was the best I got.

Living in the city I needed an air pistol that was powerful but not so loud as to upset people. Of course accuracy would be good too. I purchased my 6 inch competition model (there's a shorter 4" version) and was very pleased. Powered by CO2 this pistol the 8 pellets in its p. cylinder with great accuracy and power with a satisfying pop and whoosh. The downside is that the trigger is somewhat heavier than many pistols, but that can be altered by stripping it down and tweaking it. One of th ...
