Good Points: Still very stylish and great design. Feels like a real camera should. The one to be seen with!!!

Bad Points: Slow AF...(compared to f5) But in my view has much more character that any other...

General comments: The Nikon F4 was the benchmark camera and still one of Nikon's best inventions to date. Build quality has never been beaten or ever likely to be . Wonderful grip design either way up. Shutter sound is awesome....Cannot praise this camera highly enough.

An amazing camera. Second only to the legendary F5. I still shoot film primarily and this is my main backup body. Intuitive controls, good af, built like a tank

This may be the greatest all-around 35mm SLR camera in history! I still get gasps and aahhs when I whip (well "lift" actually because it IS hefty!) this baby out of my camera bag! People don't believe me when I say the camera's design is 20-years old! I love it and will NEVER part with it! No digital for me!

For the photographer who doesn't like a lot of extraneous features, this camera is worth serious consideration. There is no LCD readout, just some knobs and buttons that do everything you need them to. Three metering modes, AE/AF lock, Shutter speed, ASA setting, aperture preview, Mirror lock-up, Drive mode, exposure mode (A,S,M,P), seld timer, multi exposure and that is it my friends. This camera is built solid and feels good in the hand, especially with the extra battery pack/vertical grip (wi ...

Although it's being said, that the AF can't compete with todays HiSpeed modules, it's the only weakness that this body suffers. But if you can live without using 600mm optics for Formula 1 shootings, the Nikon F4s is a perfect body for the Pros and the Amateurs.
Bought mine for 180,-(sic!) Euros in condition 'B' at ebay and loved it from the beginning.
Maybe it's not the best body for those having only short fingers: the AE-Lock and AF-Lock buttons could be difficult to reach.
    It's quite eas ...

    I bought my Nikon F4s digital camera 1 year ago for 590 us$ .
It's got perfect hold in vertical & horizontal .
Every shot you take is great because of the
    Accurate light mattering .
    Very easy to operate .
    I use a 50mm lens with a f=1.4 and the results
    Are amazing .
Highly recommended to buy used instead of
    Another new camera .

Top professional Nikon F4 with built in motor drive (up to 5.7 fps) and shutter sppeds 30-1/8000. Flash sync up to 1/250.
I bought my Nikon F4s not along time ago.
I really like this camera, it's easy to operate,
has all modes and compensations what I need.
AF speed is good enough. It's great that there is
an option to rewind film manually. I bought this
camera body for 2000NIS (~430$). Very good price.
Camera works very accurately and lets take great pictures. The feautres close to Nikon ...
