I have fairly mixed emotions when it comes to giving y review on Van Helsing. People who enjoyed the film and anyone with an interest in all things gothic will probably be falling over themselves to give this game a 10 out of 10 review. However I'm going to stick with an analysis of the game. It's a fairly good game to play, however I think the games developers have been a bit lazy in places. For instance, the game box states that there are 22 monsters to put to the sword, but in reality you end up duelling with the same monsters time and again and this results in tedium leaking into the game. Another factor that makes the game somewhat repetitive is that the fight locations are also repeated time and again. These two factors leave me feeling somewhat short-changed and I think the game makers could have done a much better job of this movie adaptation.
