    I'll start by saying I'm a big fan of final fantasy as a series and 7 and 10 both blew me away, I even loved 8 in spite of the time-consuming draw system.

    12 is graphically stunning and the battle system is changed from turn based to real time, which you may or may not like... I personally liked it, although there's something more intense about the turn-based combat. As a result of the real time battle, it is more difficult to command all the characters at once..

    About everything else to do with this game is bad. The story is totally plot-based (and the plot is not original either, basically a rehash of 6 - we're the rebels, the evil empire wants to kill us and we get espers to beat them up with) and the characters are emotionally unengaging, just used to advance the plot with very little depth given to them.

    I loved the initial areas, running around beautiful landscapes, then after about 5 hours it got REALLY boring, with each area basically being the same as the last. The sound was lacking the suspense and atmosphere of previous titles and the whole experience was very unengaging. If you haven't played 10 yet, save your disappointment and that instead.

    Did I mention the game was really boring?

    Graphics, city and world settings, 3D views, roaming camera, about the right length playing time. Bosses, music was better in previous Final Fantasy series, characters were good although they could have developed these more.

    This game is awesome I recommend that you should buy it the storyline to me not the best but it is still awesome you have to play for a while before you judge the game so buy it go on go on.

    What a great game! The links to other titles in the series are great! Is that Cloud? I love the bunny girls. Character design and world map design supreme.

    Great battle system, and I love the new license points addition. The graphics are great, and the story is very interesting (even though it is very complicated). The Final Fantasy 12 game also has 50+ hours of gameplay.

    This is the best video game I have ever played, and I recommend it to anyone who owns a PS2.

    Overall, this game is a healthy buy. However, the storyline is not as good as the previous Final Fantasy games; for example VII, VIII. In saying that, I still believe it is well developed, don't get me wrong, but the main character of this story don't flow with the overall aspect of the game in my opinion.

    Well anyway, despite a couple of early hangups and after I got used to the camera I realised that Final Fantasy 12 is amazing and a half!

    Go buy it.

    Final Fantasy 12 has finally been released in Japan, and since it has scored 40/40 from Famatsu, a lot of people are expecting a lot from this game. So is it good, or is it bad?

    From my experience with it I would say it is rather good. Maybe even the best in the series! The storyline is awesome, with lots of unexpected twists. Earlier, many people compared it to Final Fantasy 9, but after playing some of it, it is more like Final Fantasy 6 crossed with Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy 11, and St ...

    Lets start with the bad points, just to get them out the way. I ordered the Final Fantasy 12 PS2 game before Christmas 2004, and I am still waiting for it, but I have devoured every piece of information about it you can possibly think of.

    The story centres around 2 warring Kingdoms, with the little Kingdom of Damalasca caught right in the centre of the conflict. The usual storyboard occurs here, with the noble hero rescuing and helping the defenceless princess, bringing calm to the Kingdo ...

    I think Final Fantasy 12 is living up to the expectations. The pictures that I've seen tells me that this game oughta be good. I can't wait for the release in Norway.

    Most people are complaining that Final Fantasy 12 is a clone of FF9 Clone. Even if it does show some similarities, I ask you, is that a bad thing?
    Each and every Final Fantasy has bettered the predessesor, and this game is no exception. With better cinema sequences with jaw-dropping CGI, and real time environments, this game will be sure to reveloutionise RPGs.

    I hope Final Fantasy 12 exceeds my expectations but can't wait! It is meant to be a brilliant game with mega graphics and a brilliant storyline! hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

    Final Fantasy 12 - After looking at a few of the FFXII websites all I can think is that Square is popping out another FF9. FFXII graphics are amazing, but graphics don't make a game. All I can do is pray I am wrong, but after Kingdom Hearts, FFX2, FF Crystal Chronicles I can safely say this game is not going to be a 7 or a 8.

    If only every Final Fantasy could be as fun as Final Fantasy 7 (the best one of the series). FF-10 was good and I just hope that I will be able to enjoy this one as much as I did 7 and 10. I know it is not out yet, but if Square Enix lives up to half its expectations, I would trust this game to be fun, strategic, and as surprising as any other great Final Fantasy games.

    I've got most of the Final Fantasy games ... I really like them .. and for my opinion about if the game suck or not .. and to buy it or not .. It is you who choose .... and by the ways sometimes the people talk to much .... now they switch the battle system and I really like it .. the characters look great .. :D
