Swap Magic exploits a PS2 vuneribility. It works by the console detecting the swap magic disc is a PS2 pressed format.

Swap Magic tells the PS2 to spin down the disc in the drive - so you can swipe the tool provided UNDER the PS2 draw - this turns all the cogs underneath, making the disc drop back into the tray and allowing you to pull the tray out and swap it for a pirate copy or homebrew.
Then you close the tray and swipe back.

Further options allow forced region conversion (as other... (read more)

The swap magic cd is very handy if you can copy a cd like my next-door neighbour who virtually buys games for £2.98. The slide tool does work and this is a cheap good way of playing import and backup games so have fun with it and if like my next-door neighbour then buy games for £2.98 (read more)

The Swap Magic & Slide Card Kit is basically an alternative to using a mod chip on your PS2.

It allows the user to boot their ps2 with the swap magic CD or DVD, then using a tool depending on which console the user has, swap with their DVD-R Backup or Import.

The cheapest i've found this for currently is http://www.timehascome.co.uk they provide support and guides for thier swap magic product.

The swap magic set also does not invalidate the users ps2 warranty, which a mod chip does. (read more)

If you buy at an auction you can't take it back if it does not work! Not worth the worry.

He is on ebid as well as voodooray, check him out, he is cheaper than anyone, and I know he does discounts outside the auctions as well. I know I am promoting him for free, but he was one of the first to sell on auctions and people can't stop raving about his great attitude and knowledge of consoles.
