Good Points: Quality, storage case, variety of driver bits, price, availability.
Bad Points: None.
General comments: Although this Halfords Professional Impact Screwdriver may be more expensive than similar impact drivers, it certainly redeems itself in terms of quality and durability.
Made from solid steel, with a chromium-vanadium plating, this is a sturdy tool which will last a lifetime. Supplied in a tough storage box, it comes with 11 driver bits, including popular sizes of Allen bits, and can be quickly converted to be used as a driver for 1/2" impact sockets.
It is easily available from Halfords stores, retailing around the 15 pound mark.
Operation of the driver is straightforward, by rotating the collar to select between forward and reverse, depending upon operation. It should be noted that a fairly heavy hammer is required, weighing at least 2lbs.
As with much of the Halfords Professional range of tools, it is a worthy addition to any toolbox.
