Good Points: Didn't just price match - beat the price I would have paid online

Bad Points: Prices higher than elsewhere if they won't haggle

General comments: Jessops, Worcester store gave wonderful service. I rang them to ask for advice about a model I was thinking of buying and was delighted to find that the person I spoke to was both knowledgeable and helpful. I was expecting to pay about £200 (having researched the cost online) and ended up paying £225 - but for that I also received a camera bag, a spare battery and a 2gb XD picture card. I had to haggle but I was well chuffed! I can't comment on their after sales service as thankfully I haven't had need of it. I would also like to add that I spoke to the same man three times in the space of an hour and this was on a Saturday morning so I can't think that they were particularly quiet. What a saint he really was.

I like the idea of a chain camera store in every high street as it means you can return items where ever you are and I have done so in the past with items that through no fault of Jessops I have developed problems whilst away from home. like a lot of shops in this field there will always be a `star` the one member of staff who knows what they are talking about. Unfortunately he won`t be wearing an identification badge when you need advice. Once again there always seems to be an arrogant one who ...

Jessops Holborn matched an amazon price, it was the last lens on display. They are also very knowledgeable about srl cameras and lenses just like the staff in Jessops Cambridge.

I bought a Fujitsu Siemans laptop from Jessops Edinburgh on 18/03/2006. The laptop never functioned properly from purchase. Jessops would not deal with it as far as I am concerned, and referred me to Fujitsu Siemans for servicing 3/2007. After the 1st service the laptop still had the same faults, froze, and reverted to the French Alphabet randomly. After the 2nd service the laptop was noisy, overheating, and the screen was red on startup. I cut the power, and phoned Fujitsu Siemans again. I was ...

Unlike other reviewers I found the staff at the local Jessops branch to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable when I was considering the purchase of a Digital SLR camera.

Wouldn't price match, but I was "taking the Dom" by pushing very aggressively for at match with a web based store. But offered a reasonable compromise.

I am never going to shop at Jessops again as in my opinion they have no idea of customer relations or services. Generally I found the Staff very unhelpful and their expertise and knowledge of their cameras very poor.

Staff in my local branch of Jessops are bad. MORE THAN THERE JOBS WORTH ATTITUDE. The camera I bought in Jessops in the south of England, broke down after 11 months, and was sent away for repair twice. First time at Easter and it was away for approx 6 weeks, it came back and no sooner developed more problems sent away for approx another 6 weeks. No sooner was it back but it broke down for the third time, this time I ask the manager for a new camera, but could I pay extra for a up grade a ...

Unfriendly and aggressively treated as soon as I mentioned a price match. They are not sensitive to those customers who don't want to pay more than the global street price. "Rip off Britain" at work.

I can fully recommend Jessops in Leamington Spa - the staff have been very helpful on all the occasions I have been in. The digital printing service is one of the best I've used too. I bought a Sony T1 a while back, and the manager was able to match my internet price for me. The staff went out of their way to advise me and gave me demonstrations of all the different cameras available. In the end I went with the Sony mainly because of the looks though! Great store, thanks folks!

A great experiance, they spent time with me and helped to identify the various benifits of the two camera I was considering. They even let me try various lens (that I didn't plan to buy). Having chosen the camera, they part exchanged my old camera for a very fair price and even matched a WEB price on a telephoto lense (simply taking my word for it)!

Jessops - Disgusted at the Maidenhead Branch today... I knew what I wanted and they had it on the shelf, however this Camcorder Accessory was not available everywhere, so I was content to stand at the counter to be served... There was a Technician in the background that could be forgiven for her dedicated tasks, however there were TWO sales staff at the counter and neither would acknowledge that I existed... I had the item clearly visible and ready to pay, but was still ignored! I understand ...

Jessops Camera Shop-Having just read the previous review, there is certainly a difference between the branches in my experience. As per a review in the camera section on the Fuji F610, the East Kilbride branch, I can certainly recommend. I found the manager and his staff to have high levels of appreciation towards their customers. In fact to be honest when i took the camera back in I fully expected to hear the usual "Oh we will have to send it away sir, that will be ££££ ...

I wanted to buy a camcorder and was told by a friend that Jessops does price match. When I phoned Jessops they were very helpful and said they even price matched the net with a printout proof. I told them the net price and they said yes we can do that. When I went to the shop the next day I was made to feel small, like I was making it up and totally humiliated. Their price match was £70.00 higher. Not a place I would shop at again.
