v.poor quality, used it twice - the spindle lock button was v.hard to use and it's now broken, buy a Bosch or Hitachi instead! (read more)

My Performance Power FMTC230AG Angle Grinder is OK. Most tools that I have had from the performance power range have worked with no problems and have lasted 5 years or more. I now wonder if in this throw away world we do not expect things to last and quite willingly buy new rather than complain? (read more)

I have used the Performance Power FMTC230AG Angle Grinder 2000 watts on a number of jobs and it works very well, but changing the cutting blade is impossible without two of you doing it. The button to lock the spindle is very hard to use and to do this and at the same time try and undo the nut is very difficult. (read more)

Available at your local B&Q, this Performance Power angle grinder is ideal for the home mechanic. Retailing at a mere thirty-nine notes, it is inexpensive and has surprisingly good build quality.
The 2kva motor has plenty of grunt, and comes with two spare sets of brushes, so a long life is expected. It is backed up by a one-year warranty.
Although a large grinder, it is quiet and does not suffer extensively from the gyroscopic effect that plagues most 9" grinders.

Why don't B & Q, who are the largest retailers of this brand, also sell necessary bits for the Performance Power FMTC230AG Angle Grinder, like the carbon brushes that seem to only last 2 minutes? Is it because they expect us to disregard a newish machine with burnt brushes and buy a new one?
