Good Points: At £39.99 the cost was not great. Extra cutting and grinding disc's included in the price. It also has a lock button for easy blade replacement.

Bad Points: on - off switch failed within 3 months then again at 7 months each time sent away and taking 4 to 6 weeks to return.

General comments: My Performance Power FMTC230AG Angle Grinder is OK. Most tools that I have had from the performance power range have worked with no problems and have lasted 5 years or more. I now wonder if in this throw away world we do not expect things to last and quite willingly buy new rather than complain?

I have used the Performance Power FMTC230AG Angle Grinder 2000 watts on a number of jobs and it works very well, but changing the cutting blade is impossible without two of you doing it. The button to lock the spindle is very hard to use and to do this and at the same time try and undo the nut is very difficult.

The 2kva motor has plenty of grunt, and comes with two spare sets of brushes, so a long life is expected. It is backed up by a one-year warranty.
Although a large grinder, it is quiet and does not suffer extensively from the gyroscopic effect that plagues most 9" grinders.
    Apart from the uncomfortabl ...
