Good Points: It has many useful functions like camera, mp3, voice recorder and video recorder.
It is light weight and easily transportable
It drops and adrops without getting destroyed
It is not complicated to use at all
It has self timer, which has been v. useful for a lonely traveller like myself.
It comes with every needed extra bits.

Bad Points: The date stamp needs adjusting everyday, otherwise it reverts to a default date, which can be really annoying. Most of my photos have some strange dates permanently stamped on them.
It The video recorder has a way of playing tricks on me, I haqve missed many shot where I thought I was filming but was actually not.
It is almost useless at night, expect where there's very bright light
The lens can be easily blocked with a finger - a design issue
The flash is not strong enough.

General comments: I simply love my Aiptek DV3300. I bought it in 2003 and have carried it all around the world. It is not the greatest product out there, but no one can help but fall in love with it. It simply have everything one needs, when one needs them. Interestingly, based on my experience with 3300, I ordered the HDDV 8300, but unfortunately, it seems I have simply wasted my money - because, I have simply got too attached to my reliable 3300.

Bought my Aiptek DV3300 in 2003 and it has travelled with me all over the world. Picture quality is not amazing, but the feature list more than makes up for this - it's a camera, a camcorder, MP3 player and voice recorder. Has survived all drops and knocks, never let me down, and I have a computer full of great memories all taken with this old camera. It might look useless by today's super high-spec standards, but I'd recommend the DV3300 any day because it is so much fun to use - and you can pi ...

I have owned a Aiptek DV 3300 Digital Camera for several years now and think it is very good. My only problem now is that when I purchased the camera, the disk provoided for the computer connection was in Windows 98 SE. I have since changed my computer and now have Windows XP. Could you provide me details on how I can attain a disk to allow me to convert my photo's to Windows Xp.

    Thank you

Well I only paid £29.99 for my Aiptek DV3300 at Toys-R-Us so whatever it does is going to be very good value for money. But it really is quite a good little camera and is fun to use.

Downsides? Well don't expect miracles from the lens which is teeny. And I've had considerable trouble getting movies onto my PC - they download but will not play unless I use QuickTime - something to do with a codec.

Impossibility of taking a picture and trying to catch a certain expression of a child, a certain moment during a trip or any other instantaneous fact that you want to save. The camera has a delay of several seconds (2-3) between the moment in which you press the button and wish to make the picture and the moment in which the camera effectively makes the picture. The expression or the moment you wanted to save is gone. I wrote to the manufacturer and his explanation was that this was the time ...

The Aiptek DV3300 is great value for money. At €116 got everything I was looking for on a ditigal camera, plus I've got a Digital camcorder, a web cam and a mp3 player also. All included on a really light piece of technology. Includes cables for tv, usb, headphones and a tripod, very useful for still photos and shots.
