We had a great holiday at the Dahab Hilton in Sharm. Booked with Travelbag and they were great too. Tripadvisor reviews of this hotel are totally unfair, the hotel is perfect for 5-10 yr olds. Do not use Travelbag. Booked my flights online for an agreed price. They then called me back to say that the flight is now £66 more expensive. I cancelled instantly as I agreed a price on their website. Turns out they requested funds from my account although they are denying this. My bank says the money will not hit my bank for another 3-5 days. So I can not book my flights elsewhere in the mean time. Booked our flights and payment was taken but apparently we had only "REQUESTED" flights. Someone from Travelbag called back the next day to say your flights haven't been booked yet and it will cost another £40 because they have now gone up. Just got back from a fantastic holiday in Dubai. Flew with Emirates from Manchester and flight was brilliant, great service and in flight entertainment. We stayed at the Amwaj Rotana in Dubai and can't fault the hotel at all, the staff were so helpful and the level of service was magnificent. How is this company still in business? I've just spent 24hours trying to give them £2000 of my money. One minute they're telling me the holiday is available then when I say ok lets book i'm told its gone up £600 then when I complain to a manager i'm told the holiday was never available in the first place. After reading the reviews decided to call and low and behold the flight was not booked and the price had gone up! Really?! In this day and age!? Used Skyscanner (great) to find NYC flights, bookings I have made many times before and several options came up. I had seen the Travelbag name so plonked for them. Bad decision! Why? Well, they have a booking/internet practice which is like something out of the ark or at least the early 90's. Booked flights online and got an email confirmation saying that they were sorting my flights and they would be in contact with me shortly. 15 minutes later i got a call to say 1 of the seats had gone up in price by £29. I Used Travelbag for the first time last year for a three center holiday in Thailand. The agent said he had stayed in all the hotels and recommended them as 4 star. Dont use Travelbag - they have just mislead my elderly parents. They cornered them into accepting flights that were a week later than they'd asked for saying that there was nothing else left. Poor Customer Service, hotel recommeded by travel manager dreadful, trips also recommended by travel manager were not as expect and we lost out of two days on the hop on hop off trip due to no room at the hotel when we arrived and being moved about on the first two days of our holidays. The good reviews for this site are almost definitely fake. This company takes your money and then emails you to let you know your reservation is under consideration, or words to that effect. They called us the next day after taking our money to say we needed to pay more, when the flights were still freely available at the original advertised price on many other sites. We now have to wait 5-7 days for a refund! I would HIGHLY recommend staying away from this company at all costs.... (read more)

Hi there
My reference number is: 821383. this email is a complain that I wish to make, as You see on the system I bought a ticket with a guy from the booking online. I was expecting a transportation from the Dubai airport to the marina Hotel, so I have paid £55 for my transportation pick me up from the airport to hotel and on 7th from the hotel to the airport. but I realized that no tax was waiting for me, so i called the hotel and they asked me to pick a tax to the hotel, they refused to pay the tax and I had to use £25 pounds to pay the tax. so for transportation in a total I have paid £80 for the all transportation. I called many times the travel bag in Dubai and they reply saying that I DID NOT PAY FOR THE TRANSPORTATION! I have to mention that I have a very stressful time in Dubai instead of having fanny for the holiday a have paid. Therefore I am writing this to you guys because I want my money back as kick as possible, I have spend in total £80, £55 on my package PLUS £25 when I got there for the tax. I DEMAND my money back, otherwise with all the stress you put me through I will make sure that I speak with my lawyer in order to do something about my stress while I was in Dubai.
Helpful information traveled on 30th of January and returned on 7th February.
