used lancome mac and clinique for years, didn't feel like going to the mall to get it so bought this instead....never had much luck finding make up that matched my skin but the w7 matched perfectly and provided the exact coverage i loved. The foundation doesn't last for a long of amount of time. but I would definately recommend to everyone especially people spending tons of money on foundation because there are cheaper solutions that work just as well!!! i have actually got nothing bad to say about this product!! its fantastic, a lot of people told me to use Revlon Colorstay, iv been using Revlon for about a month, and its pretty good, however it does tend to look cakey. So i decided its time for a new foundation, a few years ago i did use Mac however it broke me out sadly :( recently i moved onto Loreal True match by hearing a lot of good reviews on the product, i then decided to use it myself, and what can i say? I love this L'Oreal True Match! I went to work and had forgot my department store foundation, and ran over to the drug store and bought true match. I can not tell you how impressed I am with it!! I guess each foundation is suited to a different skin type, but this for me? is just a no. I have generally smooth skin with blemishes here and there, and this makeup just caked around the nose, lips and eyes. But what bothered me most is it always became orange and patchy after 5 minutes of applying. it did not stay the same colour! (read more)

Once u find the right tone for your skin this foundation is very good.It looks super natural(people don't believe i have make-up on!).But...i'm afraid it's no good when medium coverage is what ur looking for.i would definitely recommend it to any1 who wants a fresh,healthy look. (read more)

L'Oreal True Match is thick compared to my CG tru blend, which takes getting used to, but i find it has great coverage, it covers my discoloration left from acne. i love that its oil free, non-comdegenic. i will say that it is hard to find the right shade. i bought 2 shades and still arent 100% happy but i just need to try a new shade i guess. i also love love love that it has spf, just makes my life easier. it does rub off on clothing if u wear collars or what not. it is blendable but just... i usually really love the products from loreal. but after this experience i will never use a foundation from that brand EVER again. when i first applied it (creme beige - true match) i soon realised it was soo cakey, and to cover up ANY imperefections I had to literially apply like 5 coats. i had to apply it at least every 2 hours, which was sooooo time consuming. it looked desqusting on me - and none of the shades matched my skin colour. i bought the closest colour to my skin and it turned out pinky-orange and you could really see where the make up wasnt applied on my face and neck. it doesnt cover pimples or faint freckles, its only okay for evening skin tone. i hate it, and would never recomend it. im so dissapointed ive switched to mineral foundation - much better. Being that I'm a MUA, I'm always looking for a great product for my clients. My motto is: If I won't wear it; my clients won't. I love the way this LOreal True Match foundation glides on smoothly. I feel it gives the dewey finish without having to do too much. I plan on using this on my next photoshoot just to see how well it photographs. Once I see those results I know this will be a product worth keeping for my clients for years to come! (read more)

At first, it is hard to find the right color for your skin type, but eventually I found the right shade. I really liked the way it matched my skin very well, and I didn't have any problems with it drying up before I could blend it. However, after a few hours, I would look in a mirror and find to my horror that my nose and the area around that were very shiny! I would either have to reapply or use rice paper to take off the excess oil. It would also rub off on my clothes, a definite negative.... (read more)

I have morning skin care routine. After I washed my face, applied moisterizer, then I put on W2 Light Ivory liquid foundation (True Match) on for two different days. I have radiant, beautiful, no problem skin. I am a school teacher, my face has been looked at by students, administrators, and parents, and colleagues daily. LOreal True Match - It's took me quite a while to find a foundation that i actually like - most seem to look orange. when i saw the true match foundation i thought i would try it, despite the price. it's one of the best foundations i have ever used. its really easy to apply and looks really good. it's definitely worth the price - if you want a good foundation to match your skin this foundation is perfect for you and i would definitely recommend it! When using L'Oreal True Match, make sure you use enough moisturizer; especially if you have dry skin. True Match tends to dry the second you apply it so allowing a little moisturizer to remain on application of the product makes your foundation a lot easier to blend. Furthermore, I think using a foundation brush really eases application; again, especially because it dries so quickly and you end up using a lot less. I bought LOreal True Match because I always felt I could trust the brand however after using this product I will not be trusting it any more. It made my skin become very dry after just one application to the point where I developed spots where I don't usually get any. First of all I had trouble deciding which shade would be best for me, secondly, i have been practicing putting on this foundation for three months (three or four times a week) and I find it dries too quickly so it won't blend well. The first thing I noticed when I used my Loreal True Match Foundation is that it did not stay nice for my night out. I have been using a Revlon foundation and it would stay on all night although it doesn't have as nice a texture as this one. I find that usually foundation evens out skin tone and this one did not do that. Not very impressed with it. (read more)

Blended on my hand in the boots aisle, it seemed a perfect match. But once I got a bottle home and used it on my face it was terrible. It dried before I'd even had chance to blend it and was crumbly and orange looking on my face (despite being a very un-orangey pale shade). After an hour it looked like I'd had it on for eight! It is a nice foundation. I have dry sensitive skin (beige complexion I'm a fair Indian) and it does produce some shine but not much, if you use the LOreal True Match powder over it stays a bit longer.
I use c7 and c6 powder. I havn't tried the blush as yet. Overall a good foundation, matched me perfectly. I switched to this from the HIP which gave me a more tanned look at became oily after 4 or 5 hours.
The true match powder is nicer though, use that if you don't have much to cover up,...

No oil - very easy to apply. Good foundation. Blends in well, ever so slightly orange if you have very pale skin. No oil -- easy to apply. I am very glad I got it. I would recommend it to a friend.

I brought this foundation after i had enough of my maybellene one (which made me look so orange) and i was rather impressed, it didnt bring me out in spots like some do and was just the right shade for me and i didnt even need concelar on afterwards which is a bonus. The only problem is that it does tend to go shiny after 4 hours and can feel a little "tacky" if you work where there is no airconditioning and can sometimes feel like you are wearing a mask!

L'Oreal True Match liquid foundation and face powder blend well on my tan skin tone. It looks really great with the bronzing shimmer effect. I loved these products at first! But after using it for a couple of months, my skin became oily and started having break-outs! Aside from the fact that it feels sticky and very oily after a couple of hours. Now I'm going back to my old brand.
I will not recommend this product. It really irritated my skin. I guess the formulation is too oily.

True Match in C1( alabaster) is the closest match in foundation I have experienced and I have tried a lot of foundations over the years. Most foundations turn orange on my fair yet oily skin after about hour or two. It is easy to apply but not matte enough for my oily skin. I do like the color so will try Loreal's Infallible foundation in a (hopefully) close shade. Coverage is good. Overall, very good color, easy to apply and washes off easily with cleanser. (read more)

I love this foundation, the best I've ever used. In the shop I was umming and arring whether to get the true match foundation or the true match minerals loose powder but I'm glad I chose the foundation.
I apply my foundation using a brush so it goes a very long way and is easy to blend which is stated on the glass bottle.

Do you use a moisturiser on your skin before you apply foundation? If not, then that could be the reason you are having problems. Try your foundation on the hand test after first applying moisturiser and allowing it to soak in, and you may find you can remove it easier.

<br/>A good skin care regime is essential before applying any make up. Cleanse, tone and moisturise, then wait a little while before applying foundation. This will not only provide the perfect base, but it will also keep the skin supple and more youthful looking for longer.

<br/>I have not tried L'Oreal True Match Foundation, as I have found Estee Lauder Individualist an absolute gem of a foundation, and I will not use any other! I would recommend it!

Yes, I do apply a good moisturizer on my face before I apply my foundation. I also follow a strict face cleansing regime. The problem is with the product. Regardless of whether I apply a moisturizer or not, the L'Oreal True Match foundation should come off with a good quality face wash/makeup remover. Unfortunately, it doesn't.

I don't know what they put in their foundations, but they don't half make my eyes sting. As I tried to apply this foundation it dried almost as soon as I applied it to my face, making it practically impossible to blend. I read the bottle first to see if it was for oily or dry skin etc., but it didn't say. I recently bought L'Oreal True Match from my local Superdrug store for £8.99. This would have been cheap for a foundation if it was actually going to work. The shade I bought was the Apricot Ivory which looked closest to the foundation what I normally use when I looked at the bottle, as they didn't have a tester of this color in store. I have very fair skin and LOreal True Match is the only foundation I have found where the lightnest shade does not turn out to be orange. It gives good coverage and the texture is not too thick however I stopped using it because it made my skin look dry and flaky. When I changed foundations this was no longer the case, therefore it must be the foundation which does this. I bought the L'Oreal True Match foundation after reviewing this website. I found it was easy to get my particular shade (W3), and as soon as I put it on, it covered my imperfections perfectly. Ok, I don't have dry skin, and I always moisturize before applying foundation (I also exfoliate a couple times a week) so I know I can't possibly be the only person who found LOreal True Match foundation to dry out their skin and cause cakiness halfway through the day. Or who knows, maybe I am. All I know is, I have pretty good skin, fine pores, etc, so usually foundations look a lot better than this on my skin. yes i too use true match, and find it has a very dull look, and tends to be dry, but i must say the colour match is perfect, i use n2 classic ivory. i chose this product because no dimethicne was in it, and that product in make up irriates my eyes, and makes them stream all day, i look like i have beeen crying. i would love to get the happy medium a make up without dimethicone and one with a little glow.

When I first bought this LOreal True Match foundation I was quick to write it off as a poor buy because it dried so quickly on my skin. I like to finish doing my face make-up relatively quickly, but was annoyed when it dried within seconds of contact with my skin.

I think these products are fab, but why do they use models in their twenties to sell anti-ageing things to forty year-old women?
