      Apart from the size there are no good points to this camcorder. Compare to my old Sony HI8, picture quality, colours, low light performance, total waist of time and money. In the end it broke down, repair should've been over £300. I just left it with the repairers

      The JVC GR-DVP9 is an exceptionally nice camcorder,easy to navigate menu options,quite light too.Side handgrip is good, main screen is good, colour viewfinder is a tad grainy for me.

      My big concern is the noise the motors make when there is a film loaded, the hissing sound is re-produced when playing back too...very poor.I'll run with it for a while before deciding to keep it, or sell it on.
