Good Points: Jumby Bay offers a really exclusive, personal holiday. The island is beautiful and you can always find a space away from everyone else. The restaurants are perfect for the location and the staff are really friendly if you take the time to get to know them. The staff at the beach bar are legends.
This is the best resort in the Caribbean, even before the current upgrade!

Bad Points: Very few. You could moan about the aircon, as some have done, but we found it more than adequate. After 5 Jumby Jamborees (a recommended beach cocktail) your legs start to wobble...I can't think of anymore, apart from the horrible queues at the airport. They really should do something about it. It can sour the initial impression of your holiday.

General comments: We have been to St. John's, Jumby Bay Resort 3 times in the last 4 years. Not bad for a couple who pride themselves on never going to the same place twice!

It's spiritual place for us. I proposed there and we got married there a year later as the sun was going down. We couldn't think of a better place to get married.

The rooms are fine and whilst you could argue that they are not up to the very top notch resorts, they actually add to the charm of the Caribbean. The lack of TV's really is a plus point!

The staff are great, even if they sometimes try a little too hard to be friendly. We have our favourites and some of the characters really add to the overall flavour of the place.

Whilst, you can get the odd rain shower, it's amazing that a lot of the time, due to the shape of the small island the rain clouds bypass Jumby and settle over Antigua just over the water.

Hire a Sunseeker for the day and tour around the local islands. A great way to see a little more of the place.

Don't bother with Shirley Heights and the sunset trip, The view may be great, but it's a bit like Piccadilly Circus at rush hour.

The gym is just about adequate, but I can understand why they don't make it bigger and better... Hardly anyone uses it...apart from me.

Finally, they are currently upgrading certain aspects which we can't wait to see. We only hope that it doesn't lose its charm.
