Good Points: Compact size and excellent battery life. I have the orginal battery from 1998 still in the camera. It is losing its charge faster now though. Great optics and handles well in the hand.
Bad Points: Fixed lense with no zoom. Poor flash quality. The software for the FD-A1S will not work on newer computers using Windows XP. I tried up-loading the software on to a newer computer and it could not read the older files.
General comments: The Fuji MX 700 is a great little basic digital camera. The aluminium body has helped the camera keep up a almost like new finish to this day. For trips where travelling light is important and you can work around the fixed single focal length lense, it makes for a great travelling camera. Since it is only 1.5 mega pixels, large enlargements can not be done. The option FD-A1S makes for easy down loads via the floppies A drive. Down loads can be put into whatever file you have set-up directly.

I like this Fuji MX-700 digital camera I had for over 3 years, because of it's size, "the metal casing keeps your hands cool in summer :o)"
Great camera for a 1.5 mega pixels. Battery pack starting to be locally hard to find, and expensive.

After two years of owning this Fuji MX-700 Digital camera, I still have no desire to upgrade or buy the latest greatest DC. It's fun, sexy, sturdy......."hey?...anybody seen my Fuji????"

Good camera if used daytime only.
Night shots are pretty lousy ones (even with flash)
