Food over priced! Really not worth the £799 I paid for a week! Only one of the four singers could sing an dance the others were wooden! Will not be returning! (read more)

Fantastic holiday extremely clean helpful friendly staff entertainment fantastic thoroughly enjoyed will return next year for sure. The site is in a beautiful setting. Plenty of activities on site and loads in the surrounding area. Very peaceful as well. The security of the site was brilliant as well. Can't complain about anything. this was our first holiday at heaven. not to be repeated.the first thing that hits you on entering the chalet is the smell, damp and musty. then you notice the overall shabbiness, tatty sofas, doors that don't close properly bathrooms with broken tiles, broken and cracked toilet seats. don't expect to take your clothes out of the bags as the wardrobes are damp.if you are in a dog friendly cabin expect fleas, dog hairs everywhere and in our case a distinctive smell of dog pee in the living room.... Just got home from a week at Perran Sands, lovely. We have never been to a holiday site before as I lived in Spain for many years by the beach etc. We weren`t sure what to expect, but the Delux Mobile home was good. It was very clean and lovely for us 4. We didn`t use to evening bar etc but the pool was lovely and the shop ok too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful all over the site. I am the customer that doesnt normally write reviews, good or bad. The customer who has a bad experience but doesnt complain, I just walk away quitely and never repeat the experience.
Until now....I read the reviews on this site before I left to go on our trip to Perransands and the bad reviews really stressed me out! I even had a back up plan for me, my wife and two young children to move out from our caravan straight into a local hotel if the accomodation was in anyway poor.

Stunning location beautiful beaches lovely town. Haven site was awful. Evening entertainment disco was suppose to start at 11 but as soon as you bought your drinks at 11 the music turned off and was repeatedly asked to leave. It was the same show on the next night. I found this review somewhat helpful because... most of what was said
<br/>was right. we must of stayed at perransands the same time, but we did enjoy the comedian he broke the week up instead of lots of singing, i also have a child with ginger hair hes 8 and didnt find the comedian offencive at all,he was harmless and i didnt see anyone getting of the stage or walking out, perhaps im wrong, as jokes like this plus other stuff happens on telly, jokes get sent on phones etc, and comedians, well if people are easly offended dont watch them i think they have a hard job to do they have to watch so hard what they say these days as there is always someone who gets upset. there is so much sadness and grumpyness in the world these days we need more comedians around and more comedy on the telly, life should be fun two.harmless fun shouldnt be offencive i agree but ive seen a lot worse on telly in tv adverts etc. happy holidays

Can't quite understand some of the reviews here. I stayed at perran sands in September 2010, firstly, in our own tent which proved too small for my partner and i therefore we then we paid a bit extra for a super tent which had room for six, included was a fridge and gas cooker. The beach is great and the steep walk up from it, or across the dunes to Perranporth, is spectacular, but not good for overweight people, which we definitely saw a lot of, but as we are outdoor people ourselves this... I thought the location was great. The accomodation was a disaster. Stayed in a chalet what a slum. This site is very poor value for money, the only things which are free are the swimming pools which close at 1.00 and 6.00pm so that other activities which have to be paid for can be operated by Haven. I have never had to pay for a hair dryer or had to pay 20p for a locker which is non-returnable. This place reeks of profiteering, nearly everything is at extra cost and it is far from cheap.
