We booked 2 nights at the Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere using vouchers we had been given as a gift by our daughter. We were charged approx £ 224 per room per night for bed and breakfast. When we arrived at the hotel and checked in we were told that the rate was £152.25 per room per night for bed and breakfast so we paid more than £140 over the rate to Superbreaks!! We also verfied this on the hotel website! Work that out as a percentage!!! It seems that Superbreak are a total rip off... (read more)

Four of us went on this trip in November. It was the most amateurish and awful murder/mystery any of us have ever seen. It took place in an L shaped restaurant on the ferry and the actors ( I use the term loosely !!!) were either at one end of the other so you couldn't hear them half the time. The acting was pathetic and the props even worse. We went to the second evening expecting an improvement by which time the "actors " had decided to perform from the centre and so just shouted !! It was... (read more)

I was given a Gift Card as a retirement gift by work colleagues who thought I could use it for travelling. It is useless and expires after twelve months from an unknown date. It cannot be used other than to book trips, hotels, etc through Superbreak, which means you have to pay their prices which are higher than they would be if you used other on-line sites. Basically, a Superbrak Gift Card entitles you to may MORE for services than you need to. When I rang customer services to ask for a... (read more)

The booking was made for a theatre break to see We will Rock You as well as sightsee London which we love. Although the hotel bar and resteraunt areas were very good (English Breakfast very good) the hotel reception was poor as they did not appear to have expected us or be ready for us. The room was tiny with a tiny shower room. Hubby had to reverse in to the toilet. The room was a cupboard really with additional stairs inside the room which took us to the bed with no room for anything... (read more)

Personnely I think it's disgusting that a company this large can be so in personal. My father passed away on the day I was going to Harry potter in London. Obviously I didn't go and rushed home. Super break offered nothing in away of a refund or any discount for future booking. Would not recommend at all. Regards A very angry ex-customer (read more)

Booked 4 nights in London through SuperbreKs in Feb 2012 for our stay in August 2012. We booked early because of the Olympics the following week. We paid £850 for the 4 nights and paid upfront when we booked. Just before we were due to go to London I checked the room rate and it was half the price we had paid. On arrival at the hotel I explained how much we had paid through superbreaks and asked for an upgrade, but not they would not give us one. They did tell us that Superbreaks had... (read more)

I was booked for a five night stay in a hotel in Paris. Superbreak made an error and booked me for a night in a hotel that did not have the room actually available. They contacted me quickly and offered another hotel room across town for the incorrectly booked night. The incorrect night was the third of the five nights in the stay. I accepted the interim hotel and asked them to pay for a taxi ride to and from the interim hotel. They agreed with some convincing at 10p per minute on the phone.... (read more)

Just returned from a short break in London. Superbreak were very helpful when booking, the show tickets (Jersey Boys which was excellent), hotel, sightseeing tickets and rail tickets arrived promptly and everything ran smoothly. Definately cheaper than booking separately-the hotel (the Melia White House) was wonderful and the show seats were well placed. Will def use again for our next trip. (read more)

My wife and I went for a three night break to London staying at Queens Park Hotel in Bayswater,I can honestly say I've never stayed in a worse hotel. There was two rodent traps in the room, dark hair on a pillow, gaps under the room door was sufficient for me to see people walking past at night as the room was set down some stairs.Construction work ongoing at all levels outside back rooms - everything was shabby and disgusting. We checked out after one night, manager appeared indifferent... (read more)

I always use Superbreak for short breaks - I have had some fantastic deals. I just booked a 3 night break for an anniversary and I think I got a really good deal - however, the female operator I spoke to had no people skills at all - no niceties, no pleasantries - in fact her manner and tone was awful - I felt that she didn't really want to be bothered, and she was quite impatient. What a shame - such a fab firm now employ ignorant dis-interested arrogant robotic 'contact center' staff. (read more)

We've just come back from a 1-night stay in Bristol, booked through superbreak.com. No complaints at all - the price was fantastic, considerably cheaper than anywhere else we tried. The administration was also good, with printed confirmation received through the post soon after we booked, including full directions to the hotel and other useful information. We booked a 2 night London mini-break with Superbreak from Aberdeen, travelling on East Coast trains. It seemed too good to be true - if fact I phoned them to check the rail fare as the price appeared to be the same from Aberdeen as any other station down the line to Peterborough. However they assured me the fare was the same regardless of the station and that's exactly how it played out and the whole package was exceptionally good value - London Transport Oyster cards with £10 preloaded are... We Booked a theatre and hotel combined package and stayed at the Mercure Hotel London City Bankside. This deal was very good value for money. The hotel overall was great. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, offering a good and plentiful selection of food. Would recommend turning the tap quickly to... (read more)

Just back from superb stay in Stratford. Theatre and hotel booked through Superbreaks with absolutely no problems at all. Huge if overwhelming selection of hotels in London, and all of the theatres listed. Struggled to find availability for the shows, and just fed up wading through hotels. Once I had booked the package, my girlfriend found the same hotels/packages MUCH cheaper through other show-and-stay sites. Website is a nightmare to use as well. The biggest but certainly not the best. However, really enjoyed the weekend. (read more)

My friends and I have had 3 holidays with superbreak all at the same hotel in Majorca. On one occasion a mistake in quality of accommodation was quickly corrected and fair compensation received.
Apart from the above glitch we have been impressed with the value for money at this excellent hotel (not going to divulge the name of the hotel as everyone will want to go and law of supply/demand would up the price!)

Used Superbreaks to book a murder mystrey weekend away at the end of July, got a good price and was very much looking forward to it, however, about a month before we were due to go away they had to ring up and cancel because they didn't have enough numbers for the weekend to go ahead, which to say the least was disappointing.
However they did offer to amend our holiday to a different date, upgrade our room and still go the date we had planned or offer a full refund. We decided because we...

Just used www.superbreaks.com for the first time to book an alternative murder mystery weekend away! The site was the best of those we searched for and we also had a brochure from the travel agents for superbreaks which gave us piece of mind that they were a reputable site.
We booked a murder mystery weekend Dunstable near Luton which was very reasonably priced and i'm very much loo9king forward to it! Ill be writing a review of the hotel when we get back too!
