Good Points: Fast delivery if paid for
Bad Points: Customer service when returning electrical items
General comments: I needed to return an electrical item that I have had over 28 days, I phoned the catalogue. They gave me a helpline no. The helpline logged the fault and said the catalogue will phone me back, when they did they organised an engineer, the report then took days to get back to them, and then they took ages to get back to me. In my opinion, not worth the hassle.

I do not recommend Kays, the goods are overpriced in comparison to most other places I have personally used..
For the last 5 years Kays Lifestyle has been trying to get me to pay them for what I personally feel I do not owe..
This has come about when I paid them weekly cheques for a couple of products.
I have on numerous occasions sent them photocopies of all cheques and I was then told that I owe nothing.
They then started sending me red final demand letters for varying amounts of money + admin ...

We have spent over £2,000 with Kay, Catalogue and received a pair of jeans. The jeans were worn once and then we noticed a hole in the seat area. On returning them, we received a telephone call stating that as the jeans had been worn, we had damaged the jean and therefore no refund was due. I enquired whether the matter was covered under the Sale of Good Act and the reply was that I should write to their complaints department. The jeans were deemed my property and were on their way back ...

My statement arrived late in March 2007. I called them up to discuss it and they were far more interested in trying to prove that it was definitely my post office's fault than they were in helping me to pay on time/keep the account up to date.
When I said I wasn't happy with their lack of help I was told "I'm sorry you feel that way" and "don't bother asking for my manager - they'll say the same thing".
I stopped ordering at that point. We also had a Marshall Ward and Choice for You (both the sa ...

Their buy now pay later is crazy. You agree terms, and when the time comes to pay, they give you less time to pay. Then they can never adjust it and land you with charges of £15, which they also cannot remove. And this goes on forever and ever. It leaves you are frustrated because no-one can ever help you. I cannot wait to clear the account. They also switched you onto an account that does not give you commission when you have had it for 6 years.

Kays is not as good as it once was. Customer service is poor, goods go missing, and they are not very understanding towards any problems you may have.
