Ignored the reviews like the idiot I am. Ordered a Greenhouse on Thursday. Paid for 'express' delivery. Dispatched midnight on Friday. Don't deliver weekends (even royal mail manage that). Can't leave with a neighbour. Emailed me a tracking number that can't be tracked (phoned up today and they said 'oh sorry that happens sometimes - it's a systems error). Asked when item would delivered 'maybe tomorrow, maybe not'. If I'd known now...wouldn't have bothered. Will be cancelling order.... (read more)

I ordered several items from the website, and was sent a dispatch confirmation via email, stating that I should write, 'Unchecked' by my signature when the parcel arrived, if I had not checked the condition of the contents. they addvertise ther bamboo screening on ther site saying it is made with galvanised wire netting that is why i brought it so it would last for years but it comes complate covered in rust with some of the wire rusted away , this i belive is false addvertiseing and i will make sure so think is done ther screening is only tin plateing like a tin of peas (read more)

this site was recomended to us so we wanted to use them when we bought a bench. the bench arrived in good time but we noticed a piece was missing. when i phoned to tell them, everyone was lovely...but it has now been 3 weeks and they have managed to send the wrong part to 2 different addresses and they now have no idea where the correct part is. if you want anything that needs assembling, i would stay away from this site!it's not value for money, as i've spent so much phoning them! I ordered a hose reel cart in the sale, but it arrived with several parts missing - which meant it was unable to be assembled. I have bought items before with this company, and I have been quite pleased on the whole, with the exception of poor packaging issues. Website gives no details on Delivery times. Dont bother with "Express" as this means despatch and not delivery. No option to upgrade their very slow 3 day standard delivery to a next day. Despach email gives no indication of delivery time. Will not use again. (read more)

I ordered plant trough's and compost from this company which arrived a day late despite paying for next day delivery! When they got here and I unpacked the bottom one was split, the compost bag had also been split and poorly taped back up, this was acidic compost for blueberry plants so SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TAPED BACK UP AND SOLD as it looses the nutrients once opened. I've shopped with greenfingers.com a few times over the past 2 years and have noticed a steady decline, particularly in terms of customer service. I buy regularly from a number of gardening companies online and generally get a good level of service. Had a table and 6 chairs literary dumped on our front path today including the wooden pallet. We were out at the time. It turns out, that after checking the items, the table is not the one we ordered, another item, a Willow herb Planter, has the planting bag missing. As a new bee to the gardening world, I was really chuffed with the amount of products Greenfingers sold and even more happier when I found items in their sale. I ordered two raised beds and three wooden compost squares which met my needs perfectly. No hassle, goods were ordered on Sunday and delivered on Thursday. I ordered a ellistor stamford tulip 6 seater table and chairs on Friday 22 June, received a dispatch email the following Tuesday and it arrived 3 days later. Ordered and paid for gazebo swing seat, they could not say when we would receive goods but after waiting 2 weeks longer than told was told goods finally on the lorry, should arrive today, waiting in all day nothing. Have ordered garden screeening from this company but wish I'd read these reviews first, have been waiting weeks for delivery and still no sign of goods, they keep saying they are on their way from warehouse, must be in Siberia the time its taking! We purchased a lovely looking metal garden bench..It turned up in a tatty damaged box, was badly scratched. Fortunately the delivery driver was on the ball and advised me to refuse it, he took photos and took it away. It was replaced with no problem. The new one was checked and looked fine. I rarely write reviews because of lack of time but in this case I felt it warranted spending 5 minutes telling people how absolutely useless this company is. I have been waiting for over 3 weeks now for an outside set of table and chairs. Don't buy from this company. I ordered some garden furniture. It took weeks to arrive. No apology or explaination. When it did there were missing parts (screws and washers). I called and they didn't feel any need to rush to get me replacement parts. Bad/couldn't careless customer service. (read more)

I ordered 3 items, 2 were eventually despatched 13 days after the order (on a Friday before a bank holiday!). Really disapointed with Greenfingers. Ordered at the end of March and was told 5 to 10 days delivery. 38 days later the furniture finally arrived. 4 out of 6 chairs were damaged and the various parts were completely different colours. TERRIBLE! Ordered goods on 12 May 2012 was advised goods would be received within 10-14 days. Received 'luxor swing' priced £400 on 27 May with main cushions missing, so you couldn't sit on it!! The 'nice' lady on the end of the phone stated she would send out the cushions asap. A friend then proceeded to help me put the swing up. The garden table finally arrived and I must say how very disappointed I am, as it is damaged in several places. The box looks like it had been opened and then roughly sellotaped back together. All the nuts, bolts, caps etc. were all loose and rattling around the box when delivered. It looks like someone had just thrown a handful of bits into the box before it was sealed for delivery. I placed an order which after 2 and a half weeks was nowhere to be seen. No communication sent. I emailed to ask where my goods were, and three days later received a response sBtating it hadn't been processed yet,et alone dispatched. I have read some very bad reviews about Greenfingers delivery policy on the web. I placed 2 separate orders on 29th of April and 5th of May. I had an email from Greenfingers the day after placing the order that the orders had gone through. On the 9th and 10th of May I had an email to say that the orders had been despatched. Ordered bamboo fencing. It didn't arrive and company said it had been "lost". After numerous phone calls/ emails, they then claimed the second delivery was also "lost". I find it interesting that all the recent reviews of greenfingers seem to have had major problems with slow delivery. It suggests that the company is either struggling logistically or is going very much down hill. I purchased a number of items from them 26 days ago. Do NOT believe what it says about delivery on the web site. Forget about getting anything delivered within 14 days. Think more about 28 days which is when information about deliveries in their small print becomes legal and if you think paying extra gets it there faster, think again, you could be wasting your money cause it doesn't. They offer 10-14 lead time for deliveries and as they count working days only you're looking at 3 weeks in reality. As mentioned by other reviewers in this day and age it really is excessive. However, I was prepared to wait a couple weeks as I didn't need the items (swing set & solar lights) straight away. Two of the items I ordered, although showing as in stock on the website, were actually out of stock (and had no idea when the items would be back in stock!) but I didn't know that until I started chasing my order after 14 days. Awful customer service, extremely long waiting time on the phone firstly I was told I was in queue position 3 then five minutes later I was put to queue position 6!! If you say something that they cant answer on the phone they simply pretend that they cant hear you. It's been a huge amount of greatly unneeded hassle and stress - I will NEVER use them again. They quote 10-14 days for delivery,excessive in this day and age for an internet based enterprise. Still waiting, two phones calls and an email and they will attempt to get the order to next Friday, one month after initially placing the order. Suspect they won't get the items to me. Although the delivery of our aluminium table and chairs took a little bit longer than the 10-14 days, we were very happy with the product. One of the chair seats had a crack in it, so I contacted them by email and they responded within a day to say that another replacement part had been despatched.
