For the second year running somebody has kindly bought some vouchers for my children and we have been left astonished at the poor service given by this company. So far we have had to change our order twice because items that were in stock then ran out before ours was despatched. We understand these things happen, but we have only found out when we have called to see where the items are. One of the service reps was basically rude and offered no apology. I've 3 boys and have bought presents for my boys from Brightminds for the last 7 years. Throughout that time they have never let me down even during the stressful Christmas rush. Great people & warmly recommended. (read more)

A relative from the US ordered toys for my children from this website back in Novemeber to make sure they arrived in time for christmas. When the order arrived a week or so later less than half the stuff ordered was delivered. We called and called and were told things would definintely be back in stock and delivered to us in good time for Christmas. My son was very disapointed to open a present on christmas day that did not work. I left several phone messages to order a replacement and no one called me back. After finally getting through to someone I asked for a replacement part to be sent, when it arrived again it was broken.
The ideas they have are very unusual and educational, though not cheap. It is a shame that the customer service is so bad and that the quality is obviously very poor. This was the first time I ordered...

Order placed for Christmas on 12th December. Email told me it had been despatched on 15th December. A month later and nothing has reached me. I called the 'helpful customer service team' on 23rd December but was put through to the order line and told that I would be rung back: nothing happened. Same story on 28th December. On 6/12/2010 I placed an order from this company ghost. On 12/07/2010 I sent the message they sent me the order and wait, wait, and finally nothing. Before Christmas I sent a mail to ask what happened to my package. No one responds to email me after two days and send mail, no response. Passes and new year and send mail to ask why I know my package, I get no response this time either. I ask my money back and nothing.

The products on offer are interesting but buying them is an entirely different matter. I placed an order on the BrightMinds web site for an item shown to be "in stock". It took 9 days to process the order (unacceptably long IMHO) and the e-mail I received to confirm shipment was for a completely different item to that I had ordered. The produces are great, expensive but unusual and educational. The service was awful. I paid for 48 hour delivery. When the products did not arrive and I had had no contact from the company, I rang them. They were unsympathetic, unhelpful and blamed the warehouse. They lied and said the items would be delivered the next day. In fact they came a day later.
I would use again, but don't bother with fast delivery.

To follow up on my review above, we are now entering March and still no Christmas present. Another feature of this awful company is that their order and service line are charged at higher rates that fall outside of call packages. So I also now have a bill for several pounds because of my attempts to redeem my vouchers.
