“DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE ”

Due to personal Circumstances i have been unable to make full payment for a couple of months Explained this to there Ignorant Rude and basically Snotty Customer Services who say you either pay what we want or it will be transferred to nationwide debt recovery who are littlewoods under another name also they then add £12 Debt Chasing charge every month the company do not care about There customers they basically only care about getting there money as fast as possible You are better off... Its a pity your customer service agents are not as helpful when you telephone them....Left on the line for 25 minutes and being charged at 0844 rates for the privilege...Then being told by an agent with a horrible scouse accent that there is nothing we can do......I have had to write in person with my complaints to your so called customer excellence department....I dont hold out much hope of a positive response and will probably have to take my case to trading standards....What littlewoods need is some competition instead of this virtual monopoly....

Never in my life have I met such idiots. Customer service appaling. I'm heavily pregnant took them 3 weeks to deliver a bed. Once delivered, bed was badly damaged. After 2 phone calls then finally said they would pick up and give me a refund. After week later I still have bed and no refund. Closing my account once they take the bed back. Also found same bed with someone else for half price! (read more)

“Consistently late and poor customer service.”

Well I ordered a few items from Littlewoods. Overall coming to just over £600 and all of these items we're dispatched and due for delivery at totlly different dates, this is just for starters. My first item got here on time with no problems at all, and the same with the next.. they were on time apart from it erratic delivery scheme they use. I am so disgusted with littlewoods i bought a kobo vox ereader in June from them worked fine unill sep was away to use it and for some strange reason it cracked the screen from inside. So in sep i phoned littlewoods to say it was faulty got told to it would get picked up which it did and that my account would be credited with £189.99 this did not happen got the kobo back which had to pay £3.95 for getting it back have had nothing but hassle . They charge extortionate amounts of money for their products. For example, went to order a Chelsea shirt from them, £69?! you can get them for £35 - £40 from most other online companies. Also went to order Beats Dr Dre headphones which were £219, yet their sister company Very is charging £169 for the exact same product!! Our prices are designed to reflect the easy repayment terms that we offer such as the option to pay over 20 or 52 weeks interest free or to spread the cost even further over 2 or 3 year payment terms (this is interest bearing). Littlewoods really should do a Woolworths. Just disappear. Customer service is rude and indifferent. I've spoke to them three times. One time someone hung up the phone on me. The second time they were just rude because I complained about the quality of a product. The prices are just light day robbery. I wanted to buy an iMac, checked their website. I really wish I had read these reviews before placing my order, it is such a waste of time. I can't comment on the curtains I ordered because they still have not been delivered. I have called Littlewoods and I have been fobbed off, I left authorisation for my wife to deal with the problem but the woman on the phone left no mention of this on the account. no i didnt get the dinner set i was told after lots of nagging from me that it had been lost and has now been taken off my account,the thing that has made me mad is i dont work for you but could have told you it had been lost 2 weeks earlyer,if your going to have customer service you want the stuff to do there job ,to check if the item is where it is supposted to be, not to be told to wait longer, if it 2 or more weeks late, a lot of email i got back where from customer service stuff who clearly did not bother to check ,i had only 2 people who went on to check , and 4 who could not be bothered,and told dont worry its on its way,when i clearly know something was not right,the stuff need to be trained to , and to be monateredto check they are doing there job, if i was working and didnt do my job properly i would expect to be sacked,my account is now closed

I have been a Littlewoods customer for a few years now and for the past year I have had nothing but trouble when it comes to ordering stuff. They get the items wrong and when they correct it they get that wrong, you spend too long on hold to 08 numbers. Worst of all they use YODEL to deliver the goods. If you would like to receive your goods then I suggest use anywhere but Littlewoods. Yodel couldn't give 2 flying monkeys if you receive your goods or not, they will leave them woth anyone... I think Littlewoods are great. I have been a customer for about 3 years now. Firstly, they give accounts to pretty much anyone, even if you are under 18 you can just use a fake D.O.B, trust me! Secondly, I have had payment troubles in the past but after paying off the debt and as long as you don't miss payments they will raise your credit limit pretty as much as you want. Their Buy Now Pay Later option is good, especially if you wanna miss a few months payments i.e. during christmas... (read more)

I have been a littlewoods customer for 20 years and have to say they have got worse and worse over the years. Ive had problems with a few faulty items delivery's etc and customer services are absulutely useless. I bought a washing machine and it was faulty. It kept stopping at exactly 11 minutes and wouldnt drain or spin therefore ruining some clothes. They replaced it with the same model. “delivery missing 3months and still waiting”

my delivery went missing 3months ago and littlewoods have done nothing about it, they have seen I have not signed for anything and still refused to help the only thing they have done inregards to the case is to send me dept collection letters. I ordered an item on buy now pay later. I set up direct debit and they collected initial payment and stopped. I found out later it was down to me to make sure i make full payment otherwise i pay them interest. So i arranged standing order for them. Then i made further purchase. Hi,

The terms and conditions for our Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) option does state that the cash price of the item must be paid in full before the item is charged to the account otherwise you will incur deferred interest.
No payments are requested for items on BNPL until they are charged to the account so they would not be included in any minimum payments taken via Direct Debit. You would have to make a seperate payment to the account which you can then allocate directly to the items on BNPL. Information on how to do this is displayed on our website and on each statement you receive.

Our contact centre staff are not given promotional codes, these are targeted by our marketing team. Our contaqct centre staff can only input a code that a customer has quoted. However, if this doesn't work then they should be able to check the Terms and Conditions of the code and let the customer know if the qualify or not.

As the order is your first order and we don't have a trading history with you, then we sometimes need further information or an initial payment. Our Authorisations team can advise further with this type of query.

“Item went in sale day after purchase”

I ordered boots that cost me nearly £200, two days later they arrived. When checking the site the very next day I noticed the boots I had ordered were £60 cheaper. After doing research I learnt you could reclaim the money back within a time frame. I phoned and was told I would need to reorder the boots at the sale price and send the ones I currently have back to them. This seems very long winded, so plan on sending them back for a full refund. We do have a policy that any orders are charged at the price that was agreed at the point of order. If an order is placed before a sale, and then the price of the item drops, then we do not reduce the price to match the sale price - similarly we do not raise the price if our selling price increases after the order is placed.
We have this policy to ensure that our customers are treated fairly.

If you wish to re-order at the lower price then you can do so via our website and return the original order to us for credit.

Your missing the point, many times I have purchased things from your website for them to go in sale a few days later of which I did not loose sleep over. The case for me here is I hadn't even recieved the boots an they were reduced massively, if they had been only reduced by say £30 I'd not of followed this up and kept them, however £60 is ridiculous.

I ordered a overhead storage unit just a little over 3weeks ago, they gave me a date which it would arrive on. 29:10:2012 is the day they said it would be delivered to my home, between the times from 7am to 7:30pm is when my package would arrive. I stayed in all day, it got to 8pm and nothing came, stayed in thinking they might be late, now it 00:40am in the morning and still nothing. “Ridiculously high payments!!”

I have a catalogue with both Littlewoods and Very (owned by the same company) I owe £760 to Littlewoods and £620 to Very. My minimum payment to Very is £5.00 a month. My minimum payment to Littlewoods is £156.00! My minimum payment was £112.00 a month then with the addition of an £80 rug, it jumped up to £156.00! It is completely outrageous! We are very sorry to hear that you are not happy with the way the minimum payment for your Littlewoods account is calculated.
As per our terms and conditions your minimum payment is based on the payment terms you chose for the items you have ordered.
You can order over 20 or 52 week payment terms which are interest free or 104 and 156 weeks which are both interest bearing.
Ordering over 20 weeks means that the payments each month are higher but the item is paid off quicker whereas ordering over a longer term, such as 104 weeks, means that the monthly payments are lower but the item will take longer to clear from your balance.
With your Very account the minimum payment requested each month is 7% of your current balance or £5.00 whichever is greater.

With my first order - which was large due to moving house and ordering lots - I selected the longer payment terms but my order was rejected because the longer payment terms meant I would go over my credit limit because the interest price was automatically included, so I had no choice but to select 20 weeks - how is that fair? You left me with no choice!!!!

My Littlwoods account is ridiculous! My minimum payment is £170.00 maybe more! i owe about £850.00. I could not afford that payment i rang up to explain this. Now you are asking for £295.00 as a minimum payment. Why are the payments so high? All my other accounts are no more than £40.00 a month and i owe them more than littlewoods. I have an account with woolworths, very, simply be and fashion world. I have only had these stupid problems with littlewoods. I want it sorted. I want my payments reducing ASAP! “REWARDS SCAM”

Can't state enough how much of a scam this book is. Read the terms and conditions of your rewards. For every item you buy on your rewards and return if not suitable they credit you the amount back twice but then charge you either 20weeks or 52weeks for one of the credits. So now I have the privilage of paying £300 back over 52 for an item I dont have (returned)that I bought on my rewards. This can't be legal. (read more)

We're sorry to hear that you are not happy with how our Rewards scheme is calculated.

Your Rewards would be applied to your item either in full or partially with the remaining cost of your order being charged to your account. Should you then return the item we would issue a credit to clear the item balance from your account and then debit your account for the amount of the Rewards which would then be eligible to use again on a future order. This is done to ensure your account balances - for example if you purchased an item for £1.00 as below:

Item charged to account - Debit Balance of £1.00
Rewards used as payment - Credit applied for £1.00 equals £0.00 balance
Item subsequently returned - Item credited for £1.00 so account in credit by £1.00
Rewards returned to you for future use - account debited by £1.00 to equal £0.00 while Rewards balance returns to £1.00 for future use.

“Scamming money grabbers.”

I am being charged £12 and have been given a default charge which will give me bad credit rates all because my payment was two days late. My payment was two days late because I pay online and there website kept logging me out every time I typed in my account details. I am the same, three times been out to repair my sofa which is not even six months old, still not fixed so am awaiting an uplift and full refund, they will send me a cheque once they have received the sofa which can take around 5-10 days then that will need to go into my bank to clear another 5 days, in the meantime l am left nearly 3 weeks with nothing to sit on until l get my funds to go and buy a new one from a store which can take around 6 weeks, l am so angry with littlewoods as l have been a customer with them for years, not even received an apology or an offer of a good will gesture, appalling!

Thank you for your reply. Do you really think I haven't contacted your team? What do you think this review is about?

This is not about a single bad experience but rather several over a long period of time.

I stand by my comments - I trust the labels of the clothes I buy, I trust that they will not develop defects a few weeks down the line. I do not trust those who supply your furniture and experience tells me that when problems do arise your team will do nothing to help.

As stated before - buy clothes aplenty (only well known labels though) DO NOT buy furniture or expect any aftercare "service'!

Going to cut a really long story short, I ordered an item that was never delivered (but the 'delivery' company Yodel claimed that it was!) I was subjected to abuse from a Yodel driver, spent nearly £40 in phone calls trying to sort the issue out, phoned every few days over a period of 2 months and each time I was fobbed off by another department/invesigation team who qiote frankly were useless. The response from littlewoods below is precisely why they are imcompetent!

If you read my post you would see that I have been in constant contract with differing people at Littlewoods (including on the mail address you provided) I have sent numerous emails to that mail address and have received responses that were poor and have fobbed me off. It's the 'help' @littlewoods that told me that my sigature was the one that matched the docket. So no thanks I'll be taking this to court!

“Ordered Thrice over 1 month ago, no delivery as yet”

I have been trying to get the same item delivered to me for 6 weeks. The first order was cancelled at the depot without any notice. No contact from the delivery driver was ever made before or after the scheduled delivery date. The second order has yet to be delivered with the reason given as "Unable to deliver unable to locate property".
