I've been with Scottish Power since May 2008 and started with a monthly direct debit of £80.50. Since it increased to £97 in February 2009 and then to £164.50 in March 2009 I decided to change supplier (quel suprise!!)

Even though I paid the direct debit on 21st August they are still asking for £96.47 for electricity (still awaiting final bill for gas!) saying I wasn't paying enough on the direct debit.

When I questionned them about having a different account number to ...

WARNING CONSTANT HOUNDING. The Bill department constantly ringing every week sometimes twice a week when bills are outstanding for a couple of weeks. Although I'm a late payer I have always paid my gas & electric bills after all that's what you pay extra for when your on a standard tariff and pay quartely. This constant ringing started around 6 months ago and as we are in a ressession can be very stressful.

very difficult to get a response from Scottish Power on the phone - I waited 15 minutes last time and still no one had answered. There response on the internet is equally poor and they are still taking out my direct debit in spite of me having returned to previous supplier; communication is so poor that this has been diffiucult to sort this out.

Moving house with Scottish Power is like pulling teeth.

I phoned them today to say we were moving and that we wanted to move our account from our current home to our new home. After a 10 minute wait in the call queue, I spoke to somone. After a bit of a faff she took my details for our current house. Then I asked her about the new house, and she said she couldn't help and I needed to speak to someone else. Unfortuntaly the sales office wasn't open so I'd have to call back another time.

    I t ...

I received a final bill from Scottish Power for my electricity. The only problem is i'm on a pre payment meter. I used the key they supplied to top up the meter, yet they say the payments are lost in the system and i must pay the bill.
Unhelpful customer services, I will never use Scottish Power again.

Both me and my sister were with Scottish power we live within minutes of each other and have the same style house. She moved to Scottish power six months before me and they have offered to cap her payment for two years while my direct debit increased to twice the amount? When I asked for an explanation they couldn't give me one so I switched to Atlantic and my payments have halved. I have just had a visit from a guy from Scottish power who tried to get me to change back and he would cap my pay ...

Have had good service from Scottish Power through Sainsbury's energy. Capped deal was great - expensive now it has ended. Staff helpful and friendly.

I was attracted to Scottish Power as they seemed to be one of the cheapest suppliers on the market, i do like the one bill and one payment as British Gas my previous supplier would not permit this

I am in receipt of my final bill in the sum of £788.75 from Scottish Power. It therefore seems strange that I am not one payment behind on any of my payments, or indeed any other bills through other companies.
I queried the matter 3 times through the e-contact centre, and all 3 replies left me extremely dissatisfied. I actually felt insulted by comments like - "This is your fault" and "You should have paid more."

When setting up my account late in 2004, I explained very clearly that I ...

Scottish Powers Gas prices started off reasonable, but every quarter my bills get more and more expensive. I have a 3 bed detached house, and my winter bill for November to February was nearly £400. Thinking my next bill would be cheaper, I have just received it this week to find it is £364 for February to May. Am I paying for my neighbour's as well?

I have had 3 price increase letters in 1 year. It's ridiculous.

We have a three bedroom home, and we decided to move to Scottish Power (Duel power) as they were the cheapest. It was a very bad move, as on transfer they first agreed monthly Direct Debit payments of £58.00 per month, and 3 weeks went by, and we got a £7,589.43 bill.

Scottish Power blamed Npower (our original supplier). The readings were out, and they did not seem to want to help at all!! WE left the company after a long fight (NOT wanted on our part). I would never return to Sc ...

In February I had a new meter fitted because the old one was leaking gas. In May I changed my supplier to NPower (no better!) This was when I got my final statement from Scottish Power. To my horror I owed them a substantial amount of money. I checked my meter to find that the serial numbers did not match (they still had the old one), and the readings were out by miles. I spoke to them, and they told me to sort it with NPower. so I did. Next came the bailiffs letters. I spoke to both NPowe ...

I've been with Scottish Power for about four years and have noticed that prices seem to keep rising more and more, until recently I got a bill for £498 quid out of the blue for my gas and electricity. When I phoned them they told me that I haven't paid any gas for a year, and that I had put myself into a "debt situation". I told them I had paid all of my quarterly bills without fail. I spent hours on the phone to them at enormous expense while they investigated, and then a stuffy woman tol ...

When I moved house in June, 2005 I gave Scottish Power my meter readings and arranged for the existing direct debits to stay in place. As soon as I was in the new house I gave Scottish Power the meter readings and they again confirmed that the direct debits would simply carry on.

But oh no! First they took an amount of money as a final payment for the old house. Then after a lot of phone calls they set up new direct debits for the new house. But then two of their 'originators' cancelled ever ...
