We decided as it was our last night to go to Aberdeen Steakhouse in las America. We have dined here on numerous occasions and it,s been fine, not this time. there was a young girl outside the restauant trying to persuade everyone passing to join them for dinner. dont visit this restaurant worst meal i have ever had. service was appauling never offered anothe drink, or asked if i was enjoying my meal. Maybe the staff know it´s so bad their scared to ask. Was looking forward to having some great meals here the one just past santiago 1 &2. Like 18months ago. I had read bad reports but couldn't beleive them. Now i can. I ordered the set 3 course menu. When i had nearly finished my soup i found a small cockroach lying in the bottom of the bowl. When i told the waiter all he said was sorry. No complimentary drink or reduction in price!!!. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. Poor service is an underestimation. The waiter spent the entire time texting on his phone, he lied about how much money we had given him, short changed us and attempted to give us a lesson on tipping in Tenerife. To top it off threw a drink on our friend's lap. The chicken should be described as dry rope, the bacon should come with a health warning and the battered cod came in uncooked breadcrumbs! we frequent tenerife 2-3 times per year and on our last stay with our friends and our children we used the aberdeen steakhouse towards los christianos out on the back streets. we used this restaurant about 4 times during our week away and never had any problems with the staff or the food. in fact we really enjoyed the atmosphere and they were great witrh the children, but the food was always lovely aswell. for value for money u cant go wrong with this restaurant but i never used the others... Was on holiday with partner and two children in Tenerife. Went to Aberdeen Steakhouse because we wanted to try out this 3 course meal for less than '8. What really caught my eye about the meal was that the main course was fillet steak. The starter was down as chicken liver pate. I have never seen pate like it. The rudest manager I have ever met is destroying the reputation of Aberdeen Steakhouse.
My wife and I had been regular customers for breakfast at this particular Aberdeen Steak house almost every morning for over a week, or until one evening we decided to taste their T-bone steak.

My boyfriend and I went to Tenerife from 8/9/10 - 15/9/10. It was our 2nd last day and we were running low on Euros as we splashed out on lovely meals throughout the week. We were 15 girls eating there one night. 6 of the girls were eating tuna and tomatoes, and suddenly one of the girl's lips swelled, and two of the girls were very red in theirs swelling heads, and they could not breathe. The 3 others were not feeling well, and we ask the waiter to call 911. He did it, and the girls came on the hospital.

I went to the Aberdeen Steakhouse opposite the Columbus hotel, when I ordered water what I got was a dirty, pre opened bottle that seemed as though it had been filled with tap water, when I reported this to the waiter it took them 10 minutes to go to a shop and get me some new bottles of unopened water.
I was given a starter of bread which I was later charged for and what I thought to be a complimentary jug of sambuca, which I was later charged 12 euro for.

We ate at the Aberdeen Steak House opposite the Columbus Hotel in Playa. The service was poor. We waited 15 minutes to get our drinks and the food took about an hour.
We were seated at the back of the restaurant and were the last to leave, it was quite late. I left my digital camera on the table when we left and when I went back, the place was closed. I went back first thing the next morning but the manager denied having seen it.

We ate at the Aberdeen Steak House every night from our 2nd visit. We tried a variety of items from the menu and found them all to be very pleasant, swiftly delivered, and by friendly, courteous and helpful staff. To be fair, the bacon over there is not quite what we're used to in the UK but this was pretty much 'the norm' for most places in Tenerife. Those who did offer British (or Danish) bacon did advertise the fact and this would've been preferable.

I think this review was fair. Most of the reviews are out of date and visitor expectations unfair. When you are in Rome etc! I have visited these steak houses which there are over 20 on the island you have to remember all meat is imported .. did you see any cows! when have you paid £7 for a 3 course meal in England? and then moan about it? get real you get what you pay for .. yes I have had bad meals there too but also extremely good ones and when treating the Canarians with respect have had excellent service. Unfortunately they are catering for the Brits needs and manners and need I say more ..

We ate at an Aberdeen Ateakhouse near to the seafront next to a Ruffles Steak House. The garlic mushrooms came in a clotted white gunge that was so unpleasant we ate one mushroom from the two portions. The garlic bread was bread with margarine and some garlic scrapings dropped onto it. The mixed grill had meat that was clearly well old and the sausage was mush. Of the 2 Aberdeen Steak houses we tried the one at the beach front around Playa De Las Vistas (towards Los Cristianos) was good for a cheap late breakfast. The one near the football ground and close to Apartmentos Piramides was very poor. It was cramped, Very smokey and at the end of the day we didn't actualy eat as they forgot to cook our meal. Avoid this one. They made us pay 3.5 Euros for 2 bread rolls and 2 drinks. I'm sure other Aberdeen Steak Houses are good but don't go to this one. (read more)

We arrived at this restaurant just before the ambulance arrived - I got steak, but was left wondering what steak was it, it didn't appear to be beef !!! We never returned. you should create a you tube song to raise awareness of what happened to you that night
