I HAVE TRIED TO HAVE YAHOO CALL ME BACK ON SOME MAJOR SERVICE ISSUES OVER 12 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS, NOT ONE CALL. I THOUGHT THE NEW PRESIDENT WAS SUPPOSED TO MAKE THINGS BETTER, THEY ARE MUCH WORSE AND YAHOO MESSENGER HAS SECURITY HOLES FOR TROJANS, SPYWARE AND MALWARE, I WILL NOT USE IT, LOOK IT UP AND SEE ON GOOGLE, BING AND DUCKDUCKGO.COM FOR YOURSELF AND YOU WILL NOT USE IT EITHER, I HATE YAHOO MAIL WITH A PASSION, IT IS THE WORST EMAIL SERVICE I HAVE EVER USED!!!! I too had this 'new and improved' version foisted upon me. What a piece of trash. Among other things I really do not like is the order in which the 'conversation' history is presented. I don't want to scroll to the bottom of the email to read the latest entry/reply. I want to see the most recent 'conversation' first and I will scroll then if I need to review what has been written before. At least there could be a button to allow me to quickly switch the order of the conversation. Last in,... (read more)

I used ymail without any problems for 1 1/2 years but two weeks ago I tried to refresh my e mails and was greeted with a message saying my server id password had been changed. I had not changed it. I called yahoo help line who told me my account was in the hands of the abuse department and could not help me by phone. I needed to go on line. I did this and had no response. I called again and was told the same thing. 3 times I have done this and am still none the wiser. It has now also... (read more)

unbelievably insane trying to get around the "new" yahoo mail. ads everywhere, opening and closing all over the page. yahoo had a great mail program which I've used for over 10 years -- this is SOOO frustrating that i'm closing/referring my email address. why would you put the attachment icon on the very bottom of the page, after multiple histories? why does the email you're reading collapse out of nowhere? why am I looking all over the place for simple commands like replay or forward? ... Email is a tool, like a pen or a phone. We learn to use one, get used to its quirks, and then get on with using it. Being offered a new option eg tags instead of folders, or drafts that stuck so that you could use them several times with minor changes, would be fine. Waking up to find that everything has moved, and features that you are used to have vanished, is an unmitigated pain in the arse (sorry, ass). The new bells and whistles that 'expert' reviewers get so excited about are of no... (read more)

Have used btinternet.com email address for many, many years. It is more important than my house address. Access to emails has been re-routed via BT.com, and the email link has gone down. Tried the helplines and they of course are great at trying to sell you stuff but hopeless at resolving issues. Eventually told the site was down and would be beack in 3-4 hours ... and i am still waiting 20 hours later. Email service has to recognise that serious, time-sensitive information comes through... Recently Yahoo Mail switched to a new version, without asking or warning their customers. The new version is HORRIBLE, and they do not allow people to keep using the old version. We should have a choice; their is a reason we were Yahoo customers: we prefered this format over Gmail. But now they have removed the only features that made it different from Gmail, so now it's just a cheap immitation which is useless to me. Customers have been requesting over and over again: bring the tabs back... (read more)

Yahoo website as a whole has been hijacked by devotion to celebrities and their spawn. Time to migrate from this juvenile mindset to Grown-up communication. New YMail is HORRIBLE! Condescending messages when you empty folders is bullying and makes me think Y really doesn’t want you to use it at all. Grouping threads of conversations together and not allowing more than two to be read is STUPID! Can no longer select multiple BCC’s or direct click on folders. Epic Fail! Nope. A boring logo... I have had yahoo.com for a while. Every time I send an e-mail. I get half of it to go into my draft file. Then, I have to send it again. Every couple of seconds, I have to get out and go back in to get it to work and then can possibly send just one before doing the same procedure. I called them a couple of weeks ago, they took all the info down and said they would have someone to call me. I haven't heard a word. Please don't get yahoo.com. It is not worth it!!!!! I now have ZERO reasons to stay with Yahoo. The previous Yahoo mail was functional, easy to use, and familiar. I stayed with it until Yahoo forced me to switch to the updated mail service. WHAT a SHOCK! They actually made a new email app that is completely unusable!. It doesn't WORK! How stupid is that. Basic, common buttons (i.e "REPLY") are gone. But beyond that it just freezes up. The new email which has been forced on users is dreadful. For a start it is frequently freezing up the entire browser which then has to be 'killed'. Simple functions - like inserting a line - have been removed from the previous version. Bulleted lists don't work on IE9 (or very rarely). It is extremely 'buggy' . Customer service is beyond bad, it must be automated as they just pick out some key words and send an irrelevant reply. Wish i wasn't so committed to yahoo, but may need to change... (read more)

Good points are easy to insert addresses during composing, option of alphbetical address arrangement is a great boon and choice of font, color, size is helpful.
