Yahoo have managed to lose my account during the migration from Gmail as part of Sky's cost cutting exercise. Customers who have had their accounts migrated are receiving up to 100k historic emails that they had previously deleted, not to mention the adverts and spam. Cheers Sky. My cancellation is in the post. You and Yahoo are not to be trusted. (read more)

We are now getting a much slower service with mountains of advertisements that in no way reflect my requirement for a basic EMAIL ADDRESS I cannot believe in this most technical advances in modern history, providers make such a rubbish job of the very basics Most people want a reliable, safe Email provider. For those of this generation that require this , apps that, fastest cameras there, millions of applications. all well and good So why does it take for every email i receive i get 50... (read more)

The latest email interface is causing me lots of problems. The most annoying is that when I click compose I get the compost panel, but you cannot enter any text anywhere. I notice that there are multiple javascript errors listed in my browser debugger. How can Yahoo release software that will not run on windows 7 and Firefox 19. Absolutely incredible. I am very disappointed with the quality of the service. Also - last year for several months the search functionality did not work also. ... (read more)

I use Windows Vista and IE9. No problems with Yahoo Classic in the past. But the new system forced on Yahoo users... !!!! Try forwarding an email from your inbox. Instead of one click, it takes me about five AND TWO yes TWO entries of the intended address. (Express your dismay on "Feedback" and it'll then ask you to click to return to Yahoo Mail. You do so--and are NOT) returned to Yahoo mail. No doubt there are other faults to discover So can you escape this hopeless shambles? No way.... (read more)

First of all this mail service is a lot more buggier than all other email services I use. The help desk is useless. One day I was experiencing problems with yahoo mail but not with any other internet sites. I made the mistake of calling Yaoo Mail tech support. The "genius" who answered my call only asked for my name (not my email address) and my birthdate. He didn't ask me to spell my name. After saying my name wrong five times, he quickly found out "there was a visus in your laptop and some... (read more)

I've been using Yahoo Mail for over 10 years now and I can't say that I have ever had a problem. Ok, I only use it for personal email and therefore I only check it once a month or so, but the features always seem great and up-to-date and when I eventually got my iphone it was really easy to sync my mail account. Overall very impressed (and always have been!) (read more)

The new email which has been forced on users is dreadful. For a start it is frequently freezing up the entire browser which then has to be 'killed'. Simple functions - like inserting a line - have been removed from the previous version. Bulleted lists don't work on IE9 (or very rarely). It is extremely 'buggy' . Customer service is beyond bad, it must be automated as they just pick out some key words and send an irrelevant reply. Wish i wasn't so committed to yahoo, but may need to change... (read more)

Honestly The only good thing they did was add messenger to the email. But A lot of the messages will not go through. If you want to use yahoo mail to sign up for something don't. It make take hours or a day to get one email. The messenger will make your page take forever to load. The updates for your contacts is almost always down or unavailable. The only real good thing yahoo is good for is yahoo answers. Which still isn't the best because a large number of the people on their will just put... (read more)

Just to balance the negative reviews very impressive service. Yes there are adverts but having all your mail in one easily searchable place, no storage limit for free is almost too good to be true. One problem I had as searching the system thew up errors earlier in the year, emailed several times to customer support and fixed after a few days. Android app is a little slow.

I've been using Yahoo's free email service for over ten years but am now looking to use a different service. Why? Yahoo is very good except there are a lot of unwanted mails available on the click of a button. And that is the same for a world wide chaos which somehow affects Africa and Asia the most since it is the master scheme of the world to cluster the best for one part and leave the riff raff for the rest of world, the tried capitalist attempt to master the world. Save for the services of Yahoo, the complaints could not be known in time and these are that, the people are misusing the facility in... (read more)

Good points are easy to insert addresses during composing, option of alphbetical address arrangement is a great boon and choice of font, color, size is helpful.

Great for general stuff - the only email that I have never had any spam issues with is gmail and hotmail. As far as dependability, hotmail beats yahoo hands down. Gmail has been down less frequently, but I have not been using gmail exclusively. www.mail.yahoo.com gets hit by someone or is offline at least once a week.
advices can be implemented and try to include certain useful changes in other free mailers like Gmail etc. this will enable the present yahoo users to remain with yahoo.
Otherwise, i hv been using yahoo for the past more than a decade and i found it very good and i do not find even single situation of unsatisfaction any time. i will continue using yahoo in future without any doubt. I like yahoo and ofcourse millions of Indians like Yahoo mail. rather they feel it is the tradition using Yahoo. Yahoooooooooooooooooo.
