Good Points: Brilliant Car to Drive, got all the grunt that you could want had mine converted proffesionally to gas halved my fuel bill, very versatile.
Bad Points: Light sockets a bit twitchy, easy to resolve though.
General comments: Fuel consumption driving normally should give you about 20 m.p.g drive it in sports mode with conviction and you will only see 12-15 m.p.g still not too bad. handles well not too many people want to try and cut you up (unlike the Z3 I used to have). Looked at Merc. ML, Lexus etc. and this was by far best of bunch taking everything in consideration and its BMW rock solid.

It is cheaper than the Land Rover top of the range and better especially in the back.
Buy a BMW X5, but avoid the v8 due to the fact they lose money quick. Go for a v6 instead.- Read camerone's review (65 words)

I have owned my X5 for one year already. I bought it for my wife because the reviews said was the most safe SUV, after ten months she drove more than ten thousand miles and the X5 showed me how good a car can be. When you drive an X5 you feel in total control, not only the responce (that is superb) is the whole system brakes, suspension, extra insulated cabin make the X5 a total different driving experiance.- Read DOGBIMMER's review (91 words and 5 comments)

The BMW X5 three-litres? big brother, the 4.4I V8, is a very good machine. So good, in fact, that it won our 4x4 of the Year award. I enjoyed every second I spent in it.
