Good Points: Only took 5mins to get into park on a bank holiday. There were lots of suitable rides for my 6yr old and we only waited for one ride. Thought the zoo was small but very good. Staff friendly and toilets clean with no waiting.
Bad Points: Beano Land looks a bit shabby and the Sea Life centre needed some people control as you could not get near the tanks due to to many people. The general shops offered only a small choice of quality goods.
General comments: Enjoyed the day as it was suited to younger children, not many big rides. Bought tickets on line to save a bit of money and arrived as the park was opening. The souvenir shops were disappointing, with a lot of tacky goods.

I have visited Chessington three times, don't ask why I keep coming back, I'm usually invited by someone else! To be honest I wouldn't pay anything to get into this "theme park". It's more like a travelling fun fair, there is no magic, everything just seems commercial, there are throw a coconut type side shows and unhygienic greasy food stalls just about everywhere you turn blasting tinny music from little ghetto blasters, if that isn't bad enough there are silly, 50p mechanical arm, grab-a-chea ...

I love Chessington, Ok the rides may not be huge and scary, with the exception of Rameses Revenge, but their still very cool rides. The park is well set out and pleasant to look at. The addition of the zoo is also a nice change from other theme parks and adds an additional interest.
My favourite rides are the Vampire, the Log Flume and the Rattlesnake, though I also love the Bubbleworks and Dodgems too. We usually make sure we go out of season, and at this time the queues are usually very short, ...

We arrived nice and early and parked near to the exit, Wally World style. For those that have seen National Lampoon's Vacation, you will know what I mean, although we didn't do the running to the entrance in slow motion to the Chariots Of Fire music.
The gates were opened and we wandered in, me and my daughter getting their annual passes first of all. Strangely, we were given tickets to get in and asked to take the tickets to the annual pass section, later in the day. We also collected a Par ...

I got to Chessington World of Adventures at 11AM I paid £90 for 6 tickets. I used buy 1 get 1 free!
Most staff where very helpful.
The queueing time are very good normally 5-20 minutes.
There are around 30 rides in the park for all ages some slow rides for children and rollercoasters for the older.
I went on 13 rides in 5 hours.
It was a great day out.

Hardly any toilets, queues for those their and all blocked or disgusting. Beanoland looked sadly run down and there was litter everywhere! We paid £64 for a family four - I know it was half term but the park was not busy at all yet we only went on 6 things dues to queues - it seemed to me to be not very well organised e.g log flumes going off with only 2 people in, empty double seats on Vampire Ride, people waiting and blocking exits - one ride we queued for 2 hours - the signs wait time e ...

This theme park is the best in the country. The theming puts Thorpe Park to shame. Some of the best rides are The Vampire, Rattlesnake, Dragons's Fury and Dragon's Falls.
Chessington World of Adventures is the best theme park in the country! If you go to one theme park then go to this one. Although it's a family park, it has some very thrilling rides. Everyone who likes theme parks will love it.

Travelling from Devon, I was expecting a great time from yet another Tussauds park. I had visited Alton Towers a few months earlier, and I was happy with my days there. The Chessington World of Adventures park was well signposted on junctions 9 & 10 of the M25. Car parking was free, saving a sum of £4 already from Alton Towers. We noticed that a new 150 roomed hotel is to be built for summer 2007. I had already bought a 'Tussauds Annual Pass', which I had used at Alton Towers. I would advi ...

Before I went to Chessington I was told that a lot of their decent rides had been transferred to Thorpe Park and consequently it was now a lot more child -orientated. Consequently I went thinking I wasn't going to be that impressed; on the contrary I found that it was an excellent day out with entertainment for people of all ages.
Don't forget that the park is also a zoo so do take time to have a good look around their creature features too! For a potted way of doing this take a ride in the m ...

Alton? Thorpe? Drayton? Or Chessington? This was the family's decision right up until the morning we left! Chessington was the choice, but with hindsight, it was the wrong choice.
For two adults and two teenage children, the park did not offer up enough thrills, pure and simple. One of the few 'thrill rides' was shut, which left maybe three rides that could be described as exciting!
The queues were too long, and aside from maybe the moderately exciting 'Vampyre' ride, the wait was not ...

Chessington is a park for the little ones that don't pay attention to details. I was very disappointed being used to big theme parks such as Disneyland resort.

Chessington World of Adventures is a lovely theme park. It is good value for money, and if you avoid weekends and school holidays (we took our kids on an "in-service day") there are no queues whatsoever.
One of the rides broke down when we were about to use it, but other than that there are no bad points at all.
The whole park has a lovely atmosphere; almost quaint. As long as you do not expect it to be in the same league as Legoland or Alton Towers, you will not be disappointed. Having sa ...

I have been to Chessington World of Adventures theme park twice now. It was a bit better this time, but it was still not as good as Thorpe Park and Alton Towers! Go there instead!

Chessington World of Adventures was very disappointing! My teenage children waited in one queue for an hour and a half, and they nearly got to the front when it broke down. They were told to be patient, but after another half hour were told to come back later!! The express tickets are a nightmare, as they were staying on the rides and having 3 or 4 turns at a time, and waiting times for the normal ticket holders were unacceptable at 100 minutes a ride. My children managed to fit in 5 rides in 7 ...

Chessington is a great theme park for all ages, and one of the best for younger children. It has rides of all speeds and sizes. Vampire is a must, not too fast or scary, yet entertaining. The queues can get very long - be warned! But all in all, a fantastic day out.

This was my first visit to Chessington World of Adventures and I was very excited. I had recently been to Thorpe Park and was very impressed so I was expecting a lot from this park. Driving towards Chessington I could see the towering rollercoaster called 'Vampire'. This made me even more anxious to enter the World of Adventures. When I walked through the gates I saw lots of beautiful scenery and OTTERS! I later found out Chessington was a zoo as well which explained the otters. But I still had ...

I went to Chessington World of Adventures for the day, and thought it was amazing! I loved every minute of it. I would definitely recommend it, especially the vampire ride. The queues were a bit long, but what do you expect in the summer holidays? I noticed it was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I had a great day out, and will definitely be going back.
