Good Points: The car was relatively new, having done just over 11000km and had only minor scuffs and scrapes. A problem regarding the return of the car with a full tank of fuel and not being recompensed was eventually sorted on my return to England and subsequently refunded in full.
Bad Points: Took over half an hour to get through to the Augira check in desk, even though the car was pre-booked. The person who was dealing with me was also taking telephone calls and bookings at the same time. Which caused a long delay in getting the car sorted. Poor customer services at the Malaga Airport drop off point.
General comments: I have used Augira Crown on a few occasions and have been satisfied. My last booking was at Malaga Airport and when I picked the car up I was told by the counter staff that I could return the car either empty or full. I returned the car full, but was refused a refund on the grounds that I should have returned the car empty. I protested, but got only a shrug of the shoulders from the man behind the counter. I contacted Economy Car Hire (The Booking Agent) on my return and asked them if they could help me resolve the situation. This was done within 48 hours and I received a full refund from Augira Crown.

Cars always in good condition, I hire every 12 weeks. Staff friendly - minimum of two in office at pick-up. Never had a breakdown. Mini bus pick-up quite regular from Airport to showroom. A Pro-rata discount relative to usage would stop me looking at other sites........Charge of 20 euros on top of full comp' ins' as windscreen and door glass are NOT covered. This only made apparent at point of hire - disappointing............

The efficiency of the staff at Palma was desperate. It took 30 minutes to deal with each person and there appeared that each booking had a problem. I was fourth in the queue. We had booked this rental from the UK using Holiday Autos and had taken out CDW insurance with them. The man at the desk said that they would not be proving any insurance what so ever and any claims must be settled with them by credit card and I could get the money refunded from Holiday Autos when returning to the UK.
I wa ...

We knew about paying for the full tank of petrol in advance but since we had booked the car for ten days it was not a problem.
We knew they needed a credit card impression but were unaware of their policy that we could not pay cash.
We booked through their Website and when no reply was received after several days, we called them. The person answereng the telephone could not find our Email but made a booking on the spot and Emailed us the confirmation. We Emailed a reply concerning a minor erro ...

Great experience with AurigaCrown Car Hire. Would book direct next time, rather than going through a broker.

The staff at the Valencia branch was friendly and helpful. The car was clean and equipped with the spare wheel, warning sign and fluorescent jacket, which is a legal requirement in Spain. We returned the car with just under half a tank of diesel but to be fair, we agreed to return the car with an empty tank and it was quite difficult to empty the C4. We did not have any problems with returning the car to the drop-off point and the credit card statement charges were all correct, i.e. no unfair cha ...

"extra" payment of 40% of the reservation price (extra insurance to drive in France) and this was never told during the reservation. No shuttle bus at the arrival and at the departure as mentioned in the reservation (the office is at 10 min. from the airport)! You take the car with full of fuel and you give it back as empty as you can... which is impossible. So you give them free of charge at least 5 litres at each rental. No check of the car when you take it but well when you bring the car back ...

I have used this company twice and both times I asked for a Ford Focus C-Max and both times I got one. This is unlike Avis who tried to offer me a similar car which was smaller than the one I ordered (altough similar). The cars are in reasonable condition but may have a few marks or a wheel hub caps missing. Make sure you check it out before you set off and let the staff know of any problems. At least you blend in with the other Spanish cars and don't look like a tourist!! You have to pay an ...

I would never recommend or use this company again.
Unfortunate to have handbag containing car hire key stolen = told I could not go to local office to collect spare key as it was at collection point i.e. the airport 30 mins away. Told to get local transport to get spare key. Staff rude and told "not to loose this one" when handed spare key for 80 euros.
A nightmare experience in car hire and a steep learning curve in financial terms.

All insurance covered except for clutch and tyres. If you are travelling to older parts of Spain where you are likely to drive into the old areas and where the streets are literally wide enough for the car (often having to fold the wing mirrors in); then being insured against scratches is a good deal. Car was clean when delivered and staff were young and friendly although not terribly knowledgeable about the area. Good and competitive, if you are fairly self sufficient but don't expect any extra ...

I've been using AurigaCrown at Malaga Airport for some years now and prior to that for many years when they were just Crown. I can honestly say that I've never had any trouble with them whatsoever. They've always done what it says on the tin. Their prices are good, their cars are always newish and they're always clean. I always drive away with a full tank on the condition I bring it back full, and that works for me. From time to time I've tried other rental companies at Malaga but none of them m ...

The vehicle we were about to be given was suddenly changed immediately after we took the option of not taking extra insurance at a rate of 20 Euro's for clutch and breaks (on a newish car). It was the next morning we realized the actual reason for the change & that was the car had a slow puncture in one tyre. Our suspicions were confirmed that they knowingly hired us that car when we returned the car as the spare was the first thing he checked for flat. It had cost me 20 Euro's and two hours ...

I had three trips to Valencia in as many weeks and found Auriga to be the cheapest easily. Try myspain.com or car hire search engines on Google. The first trip was a bit messy but I since found out it's because the airport modernisation has caused havoc at Valencia. Once there though, the staff were great. This location offers full or empty tank drop-off, I would say full tank on return is more economical, especially as there is a garage 200m away. The car's were a Ford Focus and a Fiesta, they ...

One complaint: They insist you have full tank at pick-up point, 65 euros worth in our case. We returned car half full of fuel - but they still demanded to keep the 65 euros! After 15minutes argument, the only concession I got was a scribbled note to say "returned tank half full" - but now I have to chase the office in UK and argue to get my 30+ euros back. Very irritating!!

Auriga Car Hire are a good company to deal with. I believe they are in the process of being merged with Crown Car Hire.
They were Very friendly and helpful. Locked the keys in the boot, charged for the spare keys, but refunded on return of the vehicle and both sets of keys. Brand new Ford Focus Diesel with 11 kms on the clock.
However, the office is not at the airport, but it is only a 500m drive away in the mini bus. They only allowed the driver to go, so my wife and kids had to wait at t ...

We used Auriga car hire, but I think all the car hire companies make us feel suspicious when it comes to their treatment of customers, especially foreigners, so we make mistakes. But the more we use them the wiser we become. And they are not subject to any UK rules.

I spoke to a real person at Easyautos who booked my car in Tenerife with Auriga car hire. I got a fabulous car, had an easy car collection, and the staff were nice.
I will use again.
