Good Points:
General comments: I think that the BSA lightning is the best air rifle on market. Its light, easy to handle, very accurate and awesome when fitted with a gas ram.
There are no bad points that I can think of.

I got offered a discounted Harris bipod so i bought it and fitted it to the barrell. What a difference to the accuracy from the prone position!!! . The recoil is now subdued and the extra weight on the front is negligiable.
I now own a daystate x2r sports but my lighting will still be around for a very long time yet. As the saying goes ' you have to go back to basics to re-learn to shoot every now and again'.

Good for hunting iv taken piegons from 35 yards taken rabbits and squirrels more than enought power for the rabbits. Nice and light good power and relie gd value 4 money i really rate the gun.
I had a few problems with the spring and had to send it back 2 times but after that i never had a problem with it

The BSA Lightning is a great rifle,i can kill a Rabbit 30m away. You Have to aim between the back off the eye and the base of the ear or just to the right off its collor bone. sorry if spellings a bit Iffy!

It would ould be nice if you could have an interchangeable barrel between 177 and 22. The BSA Lightning is a really light weight weapon. You are slightly limited to the size of telescopic scopes you can use which isnt very good.

Bought the BSA Lightning .22 a month ago and I've bin smiling since, powerful, and accurate, hawke scopes and bsa laser finish it off perfect (try the laser ull love it).

I didn't mean to buy a new gun, i went with my brother to buy a Webley Xocet (for him not me!) and while I was waiting I was looking around and saw the BSA. I loved the feel of it and it's a great rifle to shoot. I've had it about a year now and I'm really pleased with it, excellent value rifle. p.s. if anyone could reccomend the best pellets to use i would be very grateful.

The BSA Lightning is a good and accurate rifle, however I have had some problems with achieving one-shot kills on rabbits and pheasant. It seems that with some pellets it will only injure them if hit just below the head. Very good for longer range shots, though, and with the right pellets can be very effective for small game hunting.
Use a 3-12X optical scope and you can kill at 30 metres easy.

Very nice to hold can hit a 5 pence at 45 yards very happy with rifle as i had a supersport a few years ago 4 me its the same rifle, powerfull gun for the price good balance

I have always shot hw guns and was reluctant to buy British but the state of the economy made me choose British ! i am glad i did .i would choose a bsa again!!

Have had my .22 lighting for just over 4 years (paid 240 for it from blackpool air rifles with a gun bag ,scope upgrade ,,(nikko stirling) + 1000 pellets thrown in! I have just recently fitted a gas ram to it (62 quid from awt silencers) which has made a very good rifle into a great rifle, much smoother, quieter, & even more enjoyable to shoot, Great for pest control ranging from rats to rabbits, with enough poke to dispatch them cleanly & effortlessly, In 4 years i have had not one problem with ...

I recently bought the BSA Lightning with a mid priced Hawke Nite Eye scope for my son. Overall the rifle size, weight and performance is a perfect step up for him. So now the rabbits, pigeons and squirrels ARE realistic targets for him ! And not just the rats ! I now see why my friend (the local pest controller) always talks about this rifle and takes it everywhere with him.

Had my bsa light...for around a month, i use it for pest control, mainly rats ive taken about 30 rats, 10+carrion 1 seagull, i haven't really tested it out on the bunnies yet but if it can drop a gull at 30yds bunnies shouldnt be a prob

The BSA lightning is very good all rounder. Its a good powerful,light rifle its small and has a bit of a kick to it. I really like this gun, its good value for money, its also accurate and powerful

Nice gun like the size ,light all round shooter , must be honest didnt want to try any vermin with it as didnt think it would kill first time , my only fault would like 2 hear if its good for pest control .
