bought a payg lg ks360 on 28/01/10 in th sauchiehall street branch in glasgow - 3 days later it cuts out, and wouldnt switch back on. So i take it back to the shop, the look i was given at 1st when they saw me with a phones 4u bag, rather than the happy, chatty smile i got the previous time when i was obviously buying something.

so after explaining the situation i was told a refund wouldn't be given because there was no "fault" with the phone, so after 25 minutes of actually being laughed at when i mentioned a refund because it was broke after 3 days and after pointing out a notice saying "exchange or refund would be given if there was a fault with the phone" and being told "oh thats from christmas", being left at the desk while they conferred, and being basically ignored, they brought the same phone out, didn't even offer me an exchange to another model, and while signing the credit note, i noticed the return reason was "keyboard fault", when i pointed that out the the smirking boy behind the desk he was quick to pull it away saying "thats for our records"

best to say my parting words were not nice.

will not be shopping with phones 4u again - actually, kind of hoping this "new phone" does the same thing so i can go in and wreak some havoc.

I have never purchased anything from these cowboys and you can see when you pop into their stores that it looks like a used car salesroom where every salesperson is crammed into the shop. If it doesn't look good then you walk away.

Also, I have read some of the reviews here and I am astonished to read that some people were forced to sign the contract or pay up. What a load of nonsense. If you are made to feel in anyway uncomfortable then you walk out and no one can force you to do jack.

    Final ...

I saw lots of bad reviews of phones 4u. But three weeks ago I bought a very cheap contract which gave me a blakberry storm 2 free. the phone came exactly at time. but unfortunately it was faulty. when I called customer service, they asked me to send the phone back with their return package and in one week i got a BRAND NEW replacement. What ever i asked from customer service through the E mails also replied efficiently. I do not know about others but I am so happy with their service

Wanted to give 0 stars but not option. HORRIBLE customer services, the sales assistants treat you like children and fob you off. Happy to sell me a phone, but not abiding by the Sales of Goods Act 1979 with my faulty N97. NEVER EVER go here, go to the official orange/02/vodafone stores.

Someone needs to sort out this lot. Just tried to return a faulty phone after 3 weeks and told no exchange no way, repair only - read the policy. I really revved up on this bloke in the shop and got nowhere. Ringing their head office tomorrow - their no returns policy ain't worth jack in English law and they picked the wrong bloke to sell a duff phone to. I WILL get a replacement even if I have to go to small claims to get it.

Somebody has got to teach these ******* a lesson!

    DO NOT USE ...

My 18 year old daughter was bullied into taking out a contract phone! saying 'the deal finishes today'. so they organised a taxi for her to come home to get bank details so she could sign up on that day. What a con. within a month there was something wrong with the phone and was not offered another phone until her phone was ready. 'not in our policy' they said.

I unfortunately stepped into the Phones4U store on 80 Broad St, Reading on 20th September 2009. The Sales Manager and a sales consultant bullied and forced me into signing up to a new contract! My house had just been burgled and they realised that I was in a distressed state, so decided to take full advantage! HORRIBLE STORE, DO NOT EVEN GO NEAR IT!!! Told me they would show me a few handsets, but only showed me one, made me enter the PIN no. for my husband's card when he wasn't even in the stor ...

I bought a pay-as-you-go phone from phones 4 u, ordered on a monday, they said "order before 1pm and we guarantee next day delivery". By Wednesday there was still no sign of my phone so I decided to cancel the order. I phoned their order line, spoke to a representative after a few minutes, got through the whole security check and said "I'd like to cancel this order please". The rep's reply: "it's already been cancelled". When I asked why, she said the order had "failed" even though I'd only had ...

Phones 4 U has NO customer service, they are rude and unhelpful, they sold me a faulty BlackBerry Storm 9500 phone. When I took to their shop the phone was not in stock. I went to all Phones4U shops in Central London one said that the service is down so come after 3 pm, ther next one said they are sort of staff so can't do exchange, next one said I should go to the branch I have bought it from, next shop showed me a opened ex-demo box . A completely useless company for Customer service. When I c ...

I'LL NEVER, EVER USE PHONES 4U AGAIN - their customer care is abysmal. It has taken over two months of wrangling - with many letters, phone calls and emails to get my money back on a faulty phone! Customer care was good when they sold it and took my money, but non-existent when I wanted a refund! It was like 'we've got your money now so tough'!

    In one word: USELESS!

I found a good deal (or so it seemed) on the 2nd of september, placed the order online and received an email saying that now it was time for me to sit back and relax as Phones 4U would do everything and the goods would be dispatched within the next 2 days.. It has been over three weeks and nobody has given the courtesy of a phone call or email and yes... I did chase the order up via email without the joy of a reply.

I am not an angry customer and this is my first review e ...

I bought an LG Viewty phone at phones4u after reading good stuff in all the reviews.
I use it for about 10 minutes a day and the battery is dead after 2 days.
The 5mp camera produces fuzzy images, it's useless indoors and the HSDPA / EDGE is no faster at accessing the internet than my old K550i even though the 'HSDPA available' signal is showing.
I tried to take it back after a couple of days but the wide boys at Phones4u aren't interested, so we will probably go to court.
    Maybe I got a dud but ...

Phones 4 U has NO customer service, they are rude and unhelpful, they have my money but I have no phone. The phone was in stock for next day delivery but did not arrive, they now say it is in stock but still are unable to send it out for next day delivery as stated on the terms and conditions delivery section. As for the Barnstaple store and a salesman, I suggest the best thing he could do is stay in bed. A completely useless company for sales and service.

The customer service is only good before you sign your Phones 4U mobile phone contract. Once you sign the tone changes, it's the worst customer experience of my life so far. They have a no refunds policy which is extremely rigid.

I walked into phones 4 u Bournemouth simply looking for an upgrade. But someone was very quick to sell me another contract and offered me cash to pay off the old contract. The cash ws not even enought to pay off my old contract. Now I had 2 contracts running both at a cost of £35 per month. When I went back to return the phone, they offered me more cash to finish off my old contract. They said that I would receive the cheque in the post within 21 days. 1 month gone and still no cheque. Won ...

I purchased a 12 month contract with Phones 4 U.co.uk. £40 a month with Vodafone but 11 months free via redemption. I have received all of my chequebacks and so the 12 month contract has cost me just £40 in total. Thats £3.33 per month! I would highly recommend phones 4 u to anyone. Just make sure you send in your paperwork on time. All they ask for is your most recent bill and your signature. If you can't do that, then you shouldn't expect your cash!

Just came to give my feedback. Christmas 2007, I was passing by a Phones4u shop in Oxford St, London. A guy from outside of the shop almost drag me to the downstairs to sell the mobile and I took one contract. They gave me 3 months free internet but i was not aware of that. then after three months they started to take by DD. I never knew about that until in my final month when i was talking to my service provider. I complained to my service provider they have investigated my situation where i h ...

Was brought out on my old contract that i gave to my boyfriend he then renewed it for himself and has exactly the same contract - only difference is i pay 35 pounds a month and have a rubbish phone , my boyfriend has a better mobile and the same contract for 9 pounds a month.. not only that the only reason i got brought out was as a 25 pounds contract was too expensive with a baby on the way - not only that and the phone i had of Phones 4U broke!! and had to send it off to be fixed with 2 weeks ...
