i have a x reg speedfight and it has just started boggin a lot at low end when you get up to about 20mph runs sweat till top speed but you cannot set off i have cleaned the carb check'd the piston n bore there is nothin i see wrong with them cleaned air filter bike runs fine and idle's but if you try to rev bogs and if you keep hold of it will die would be very helpful if any one could give me some suggestions thanks Dave plz email me davidhall28@hotmail.com thanks (read more)

Having just bought a peugeot speedfighter 2 as a run about,have a jeep for towing horse trailer,needed a cheeper way of getting about on week days, it is fantastic ,cheep to buy,cheep to run, very quick an great fun to ride. Feel like a teenager again !but does any one know is there a way to fix a back box on it as not quite enough storage space under seat . also parts are reasonable to buy. mine has mot till oct 2012, had it looked at anyway,just to see what may need doing for new mot,good... ok guys so ive brought an 08 reg speedfight 2 and it was second hand, and de restricted with several afermarket parts on it and one of them is a raing clutch and im wondering will this affect my pulling away speed in exchange for a higher top speed because i would far sooner be able to pull away quicker rather than go a few mph faster. so is it worth me going and getting a standard clutch and replacing the racing one? thanks for any advise (read more)

i have a 2007 moped and have a endy can on it, heavier rollers ones what came with the exhaust, sports variator and a polini 70cc kit its air cooled and will do 50 mph on the flat. Have read claims on this thread saying someones ped does 89 mph how on earth did he manage that or is he lying???????????????????? (read more)

lol my ped is fully derestricted other than that its got no performance parts or whatever on it, and mine will do 50mph on a flat and go about a centimetre into the red bar at the bottom of the dial down hill, i think the ped that bloke has must be 100cc derestricted and a funk load of performance parts on it hahaha

My 2007 speedfight 2 has red evo style body panels, new pirelli evo tyres, new EBC brake pads in front and back, polini air filter, polini race kevlar belt, leo vince handmade tt exhaust, reflective rim tape for finishing touches and vinyls lol.. next is the polini or doppler variator with doppler boost chamber.. but it does around 55mph at the moment. i would have like to of known about the tyres and stuff before i bought it but now it looks immaculate! my speedfight is brilliant but as soon as it gets wet its burbles and backfires but apart from that its been derestricted at the variator, size 80 jet, leo vince tt race pipe and an open stage 6 air filter and i have had it off the clock easily. the other problem with the speedfight 2 is the problems, i have only owned mine for 6 months and i have had to replace cylinder and piston, battery, rear brake light and my clutch but when running great bike. On a good note it is a very good looking moped but as for good points thats as far as it goes if left out in the rain will cause the moped to do 15mph and lose power this includes going over puddles also does a defferent top speed every day I wouldn't recommend this to anyone hope this helps (read more)

A very good ped, ive only had a few problems with mine, most of the time its reliable, its certainly not the fastest ped out there but its good enuff 2 get from a to b, mines de-restricted and has been thrashed way too much and has a top speed of about 45 on the flat, i dont think it was worth buying it brand new for £2000 and should have bought a second hand model, i had a crash and it was very easy to get the parts i needed, overall i think that this ped is good but i would recommend... don't buy a speedfight, they are utterly the worst moped you could buy. i have one myself, they are slow, heavy and very unreliable. the only 2 things they have going for them are that they look great and are very fast downhill, otherwise dont buy one. if you come up to a hill you may aswell step of and push it because thats the only way you will make it to the top and they arnt much better on the flat either. also if you do get one, whatever you do dont try and make it faster because 1. it... I found this review not helpful because... i have a 2001 speedfight 2 lc it has a zx power pipe up jetted rollers and air fillter and gets 65mph on straights, i had to change belt because it keeps going faster and faster untill the belt snapps, this review is shit, as my speedfight ruins other peds

hey guys i just got a Peugot speedfight 50 and i found if u take of the powerpipe and put a homemade pipe made out of general stuff from BnQ u can get a top speed of 72mph and it wheelies and everything mines a 2009 and i took all the panels of to make it lighter got carbon fiber wheels n frame and got it up to 72+mph it beats most 125s and i have just orders some new carbon panels so it will look mint (read more)

I have a Gianelli sports chrome exhaust, 5g racing rollers, Malossi racing clutch springs, deristricted the exhaust and carb. also been upjetted. This bike is miles better than any other scooter I've seen and it ticks all the boxes.
Everything is excellent but most second hand are a bit delicate. I think that this product could be improved by making the exhaust not sounds too hairdryer type and sort the carburetor out it keeps breaking
I advise all people to get one of these after your CBT.

Your bogging down problem is to do with your ignition coil. Check that and make sure it's all together properly. If its not together properly replace it. Trust me I had the same problem once.
