Good Points: durability
Bad Points: message and photo memory
General comments: Just adding this review as a matter of interest and a little pride in my Samsung V200! have had it since it first came out in 2003 and now, June 2008, it's still going strong with only a few scratches to betray the age! Battery life has always been excellent - I charge it once every three days and do use it a lot! Have never had any trouble with keys sticking, screen going blank or anything else. The menus are easy to use, probably seeming unfriendly to those unused to samsung layouts, but isn't that the case with all unfamiliar phones? It seemed expensive at the time but friends have had four or five phones of varying makes during the time I have had this one. Camera quality is good for a vga camera but obviously looks out-dated now as most phones are much better. Only negatives are small memory capacity and no option for expansion as no sd cards in the days this was made!! Hope I've not jinxed it now by writing this!!

I bought the Samsung V200 for over £200 when first out in the shops. It has always had a few gripes but lately the screen has started going off for no reason and then coming back on again straight away. This isn't a major problem but it is annoying.

I just got my Samsung V200 phone for 100 on Vodafone pay as you go. I like this phone as it is stylish for me to look good with it but easy enough to use to show off with. The camera is excellent and the usual Samsung quality is shown in the ringtones, you can download extra ones but unfortunately you cant get realtones (voices). I haven't tried the games yet but I'm sure they are good. The network is good and the battery lasts a long time. I managed to scratch it whilst playing on it for the fi ...

I paid £280 for my Samsung V200 on 02 pay & go back in Novemeber 2003. I got it expecting loads of features for a £280 phone but it had nothing apart from the camera. No voice recorder, no java games. The screen quality is good. But you can get much better phones for a much cheaper price. The battery runs out after a couple of days even if you dont use it.
DON'T BUY!!

I have owned my Samsung SGH-V200 for several months now and it really is superb but I'll never STOP complaining about the poor programming on its accompanying software. How I wish they offered direct upgrades as the phone was released too soon before much tests were carried out!

Samsung SGH V200 - It's a very good phone with a very good resolution compared to many other Nokia phones. The 110pixel camera is great. Although it needed some adjustments as I used to own a nokia phone, I got hold of the phone functions quite quickly as it was really easy to use. The design is fabulous and is definitely much better than many phones of many other brands. Good phone to buy. Resale value is very good.

An excellent 5 star mobile with variety of functions. Audio and video should have been included in the model. Silver body must be replaced by a scratchproof body like most of Nokia cellulars are.
Conclusion: A really entertaining tool.

Bought a Samsung V200 over a year ago and overall I am quite impressed with it. It looks very good, although Samsung were slow to bring out an original case so it does scratch very easily. The large keypad makes texting and calling easy. Also, useful hotkeys to take you to camera, texts, calendar etc. Without going through menu. The camera isn't all that impressive. Often crashes phone when going to camera. My husband has same problem on his too. Also pictures can be a little grainy in qu ...

Can't wait to change my phone to be honest. The Samsung SGH V200 phone is a typical example of one that looks great, but is missing really useful (and fairly basic!) functionality.
Not being able to add any words at all to the dictionary is really irritating and time consuming. It also defaults to uppercase text which isn't very attractive. Texting on the whole isn't very easy.
No silent function means I have turn it off a lot of the time.
The games are boring and childish.
Camera quality at ...

I got my Samsung SGH V200 5 days ago and I am very impressed so far. I love the sound and the little actions on the screen (on the lid of the phone). The alarms are fab. There isn't much to choose from on the ringtones but they sound fab!!!! The phone looks really stylish and the keys are really nice to type with. The screen graphics are fab and I love the menu. I love a light that lights up all different colours when a ringtone or the alarm sounds. The camera is really easy to use and it is gre ...

The moment i got the Samsung V200 and unpacked it, i knew this isnt my type of mobile phone. Samsung had fantastic propoganda for this phone. i got it the first day it was available, and i sure was disappointed. In only 10 minutes i knew everything about it. i switched back to my 3650 after 2 days of use. its quite large in size, the rotating camera wasnt at all impressive, and for gods sake when u rotate the camera 180 degrees, the phone shows u an upside down image.then u have to press the u ...

The camera on the Samsung V200 is a great feature, it looks cool and the mobile phone has lots of useful features. The colourful service light adds a hint of excitement about the phone when it flashes. It feels solid and nice to handle. The buttons feel great and the blue lights really stand out.
One of the only small points about the phone is that the samsung badge on top by the arial would look better if it was etched into the plastic under the service light. The arial looks a bit old fashion ...

I have owned the Samsung V200 phone for around 6-7 months which is a good sign I guess as I usually change my phone every 3 months! The colour screen for it's time was revolutionary! The brightness and the clarity was superb and still is with only a very small number of phones beating it. I use the camera excessively for work and lesiure and am very pleased with the quality of the pics and the zoom facility is great although pictures become smaller when zoom is used. Personally I think the phone ...

We took out two of these Samsung V200 mobile phones at the same time and they have both been problems. Both came out not programmed to receive and send picture messages. Involved a long keying operation to correct this from instructions provided by the supplier. One phone has just gone for the second time - internal screen completely unreadable. I am sure that we will be told it has been misused - not the case! The other phone kept switching off and had to be replaced. Once again we were to ...

This Samsung V200 mobile phone is such a true beauty!!! What can I say, the phone looks just so stylish that I feel it can be treated as an accessory. I luv the attention of others turning their head to look at this beauty when I took it out from my trouser pocket! This phone has the best ever graphics! Nice tones too, sound like mp3! Pictures taken from its camera are also very clear, although not recommended for shooting far or for downloading into your pc. But good enough for taking self-pro ...

Ive owned this Samsung V200 mobile phone for nearly a year now, and i have to say it is by far the best phone i have ever owned.
It hasnt once gone wrong unlike the several Nokia's, Sony Ericsson's, and Motorola's i have previously owned, and has been a joy to use. Even now it continues to impress my friends. It also seems to be extremely durable - i've dropped it many times, and although there are several scratches, the phone still works like new.
The buttons are also a good point, being fa ...
