I've been with these people from the beginning and, although there might be cheaper ISPs about, you pay for their sheer professionalism and great service - brilliant. Well recommend Zen Internet.

This is a review for unix Hosting only. The price is good (for a UK company), however the real let down is there are a lot of service outages for me. You can check to see the planned outages on their website, but they will send you an email if they are going to turn your server off for a day / weekend. It's probably obvious to say shared hosting is not ideal for a serious company, but in comparison to our back up providers zen has more outages in a month they probably have in a year. To give the ...

Cannot say a bad word about theses guys. Phone them up - they answer and fast! Tech support articles are clear so you'll generally find what you want in their knowledge-base. However, if you want to discuss, they're always there and guess what - the sales guys know what they're talking about and aren't pushy. On the performance side, I have been a long-term Demon customer but have sadly noticed a deterioration in their service e.g. overseas call centre, apparent throttling of service (only ever ...

Absolutely exceptional customer service and support. I joined them years ago and my DSL connection has "Never" skipped a beat in all that time close on 7 years now. My connection was delivered in 3 days not 5 as suggested and the accolades they have continued to win for god knows how long must count for something as its all service and quality based from what I can see. Yes they cost me more than the likes of many other ISP's but after all these years of never having any downtime at all I have t ...

Always reliable connection. Excellent customer and technical support. I moved over from Pipex Homecall. Within a week they had fixed the problem I had with my line to the exchange (needed an engineer which Tiscali wouldn't send out). Excellent service, well recommend Zen Internet.co.uk

I have been using Zen for 6 years and the few connection problems I've experienced in all that time have all been caused by BT.
They are the only home broadband ISP I have used and I have stuck with them for this long because they are excellent. I previously used several different dialup ISPs and had complaints about most of them, in particular in the area of customer service. I have found Zen to be a refreshing change from other ISPs..
Quite simply Zen is the best ISP I've ever used. ...

Seems pretty good so far. Had a bigger (and less expensive) provider before, but suffered slow speeds and daily downtime. So far, no downtime at all and it's twice as fast as before.
Support is a cheap rate number and when I tried it out, was answered quickly by a helpful native English speaker who seemed to know what he was talking about.

I transferred to Zen from Orange about 12 months ago. The improvement couldn't have been more marked. Whereas with Orange I lost my connection virtually every day (sometimes several times) I have never noticed a moments downtime with Zen (and although I live some distance from my exchange my download speed has more than doubled). I can't report on Zen's Technical Support service - I've never needed them.

Fast and consistent. If you ever have to speak to customer service you speak to a techie that knows his stuff and not a customer services on the other side of the world. Zen are the way to go.
They should introduce another band as 2GB is never enough but 20 is too much for me.

Excessive charges for technical help while on phone in my opinion, as far as I am concerned they have taken money out of my account when I was not aware, and make you ring their finance department despite requesting they contact me as their error and unlawful ways... untrue opening hours re: sales, billing etc, yet more wasted money as far as I am concerned I personally do not recommend Zen internet.
Internet connection on BT's anyway and about average at best in my opinion, very expensive for m ...

I've been with quite a few ISP's over the years and helped set up others on various ISP's (So I think I know how it works). Have been tempted by other £18.99 deals, but but have read their consumer poor reviews. Zen has more of a Business User feel and as a homeworker that uses the net for online conferences, lotus notes databases and email, plus web site building - then reliability is a must.I am happy with ZEN Internet and its generous 20g cap, 8mb speed and high reliability.

Good consistent download speeds. Good communication via email of usage and payment of bills. Email forwarding works well and fast. Access to web based email and customer portal. Support has been excellent when required. Zen Broadband - Very positive.
As a home based user I am very happy with the service. It may be more expensive than many other ISP's, but for me is quality and consistency that matters.

As far as I am concerned Zen's UNIX boxes have had unbelievably bad reliability over an extended period - my logs show outages of over eight hours on at least twelve occasions in the last 10 months.
The only communications on this have been on their site, and very deeply hidden, masked behind fault reports that claim the problem is fixed. In my opinion Zen have never been pro-active to warn, and they suggest you get their fault RSS link. I do not recommend Zen as your Broadband Internet Provider ...

I migrated from orange to Zen Internet about 5 months ago having read all the reviews on Which. BUT I am very disappointed! I kept getting disconnected so I called their tech support. The man on the other end did not even give me a chance to explain the issue and made up quick conclusions to my problem and finally said " I have told you what I think' and then SLAMMED the phone down on me! I would not recommend ZEN AT ALL! At times the speed is equal to dial up!

READ this, it might save you a lot of money! Our website is hosted by Zen. On Thursday the 21.02.08, there was a 3 hour outage for both website hosting and email. This has now resulted in the current outage which started on Saturday the 23 and is still not fixed now 36 hours later. When talking to support (after a 30mn wait), no one is able to give a clear indication of when the problem is likely to be fixed. There is some information on their support website which apparently was supposed to warn ...

Emails go down and they cant do anything about it. Last time emails went down we could do nothing for 2 days. If you rely on emails then I DO NOT RECOMMEND ZEN! They were less than helpful on this matter.

I have been with Zen for about a year now & consider they provide an excellent service. With the monthly contract flexibility and a warning message if you are coming to the limit of usage for a given month there is little more that I would comment on. I increased my usage allowance to 40 gb - more than adequate so far, but I'm not downloading lots of large files.Zen are excellent.
