    Good Points: Price, Ease of Use, Installation, Software, Performance


    Bad Points: Cables can be a bit short.


    General comments: This ADSL modem/router is for sale in PC World. It has a single ethernet port, so can be connected as it is to only one PC, but with the aid of a hub/switch (?) can be used to connect a network of PC's to an ADSL service.

    I got the router as I needed something quickly - I was given a few days notice of my ADSL activation and wanted something from a shop so that I could take it back should anything go wrong. The router is probably £20 more expensive than buying online, but I like the security.

    Got it home, unpacked and plugged in. Here was the only real problem, in that the cables could do with being twice as long. Not a major problem as all the cables are bog-standard so you can get longer ones.

    The CD installed with no problem, the software is basically a driver and to control the router you go via a browser - nothing needed changing except my login name and password.

    A week now and everything is hunky-dory. ADSL is great and this router has given me no problems at all - I'd recommend it.
