    Good Points: None


    Bad Points: Doesn't do the job, spews dust out


    General comments: The Hoover H3161 vacuum failed on us within a few weeks of receiving it as a present. Dust was being thrown everywhere around the room and the noise was deafening. An engineer had to replace the motor several times over the period of a year. After much wrangling we then got a replacement (Hurricane Extra 1700W) which 15 months later has just developed the same nasty noise and which is no doubt the motor failing again. Hurricane range has major design flaw. And the service group is a nightmare to deal with - admin shot to pieces.

    We had the Hoover H3161 for 3 months and the motor went. We took it for repair and it's failed again. Its heavy to use and when the hose is unclipped to use with the tool the rotten thing falls over on you. It oozes dust out of the filter section and the hose keeps coming detached during use. I had my last vacuum for 12 years. This one is going straight to the local tip.

    Rubbish - my Hoover Vacuum Cleaner is now sitting in the loft waiting for trip to tip as motor bearing has failed again.
