Good Points: Waffle grip good for board traction or pedal traction
Bad Points: Not enough padding, so your feet will be hurting in a couple of sessions. Just like a lot of vulcanized shoes out there, there's a ton of board feel, but that's it. This shoe is so thin griptape would eat the shoe. No cushioning in the soles or forefoot. No airbags, airsoles or even a gel in the heel. Thin tongue so pray your board doesn't fall on you feet.
General comments: These Rowley Classics from Vans are just plain vulcanized skate shoes. Nothing more, if you're really into thin skate shoes with a ton of board feel, this is for you, but if you don't want heel bruises, don't get these.
This shoe only lasted me a couple of weeks before the stitching were coming undone, the toe cap started to get a hole on my 2nd week and the waffle sole started to wear away after the toe cap. Also the ventilation of these shoes are just plain awful.
My feet were so sweaty after wearing these and I used them for skating, walking and biking. After thrashing this pair I bought the Vans Rowley XLT's which were a lot better than these. The soles are soft even though they don't have airbags or a heel gel. The midsoles of the XLT's are like the ones found in old school running shoes.
They're a ton better these XLT's compared to the Rowley Classics which are total rubbish.

The Vans Geoff Rowley Classic shoes got me skating everything with Geoff name on them. I've worn all his shoes but the XLT's and every one is better than the next. I love these shoes (and I love the Slims if your willing to spend extra)

The Vans Geoff Rowley Classic shoes are awesome because of the flat toe surface, and the fact it only wares on the sole and toe of the shoe. They are very comfortable and I have had 3 pairs of them.

Personally, I loved Vans Geoff Rowley Classic shoes. I got them during the winter; they have a large hole in the toe right now, but even now they are still very skateable, and I skate them almost every day. I would recommend this shoe to someone who doesn't care too much about durability. It's not extremely durable, but it skates very well and looks good. I would imagine that it's basically useful for any kind of skateboarding, except if you're skating big gaps and drops. I think it is possible ...

I give Vans Geoff Rowley Classic Two thumbs up, and if I had more than two they would all be in the air. These are best shoes I've ever had. Classic stripe, classic styling, and most important the classic waffle. With any type of skating you can 100% rely on grip to keep your feet on the grip.

I have 3 pairs of Vans Geoff Rowley Classics. one to skate, one to wear, and one in the closet for when the skated ones are dead then will shuffle rotation. These have teh OG classic vans sole ya just cant get enough of. I like that you can actually get this sole, on a shoe with some padding, but NOT a moonboot hip hop shoe. picked em up on clearance for 25$ a peice and have been wearing the same two since mid summer. I dont skate a lot of street so I havent had an issue with them not holding up ...

Vans Geoff Rowley Classic shoes are seriously the best you can get, but they rip too quick. They are like skating with paper on your feet. they also hurt your feet really bad if you don't put insoles in them.
