Good Points: They are moderately polite.
General comments: I paid Norwich Union a very large amount of money over many years, Endowment Mortgage thing. Everyone knows THAT story. But they are not just a dollar short but a day late. Actually Three Thou short and weeks late. Calling the 8AM to 8PM customer line got a 'Sorry we've gone home''message at 2PM on a Tuesday. 'Where's my money?' evoked a 'We'll call you back' which hasn't happened yet. Who knows how much my - International - phone bill would have been if I had held as requested. Day late and a dollar short - their Managers aren't worth the extravagant pay they get.

Very good in all aspects of their handling of my business, and I can't fault them at all. They did what they said they would, and they did it well.
I will, and have recommended Norwich Union Life Insurance to family and others. They offer a good all round service.

I felt that Norwich Union would be around for longer than I am, to be able to fulfil my policy! They have an excellent online service, which I actually could buy my life insurance on, without having to fill out a medical at all. Very quick process and competitive on price.

From the beginning, I got the feeling that the only reason for having the "free" terminal illness cover with Norwich Union was to trawl through his medical history in order to look for something to enable them to refuse the claim.
Every professional person I spoke to said "but that was nothing to do with his death". It wasn't. It was all to do with Norwich Union life insurance hiding behind legal jargon to cover up their poor moral ethics.

Norwich Union Life Insurance: Overall I found the service not meeting with my expectations of being kept up to date promptly, failure to set up life insurance quickly.
No mention of any medical was present at first and I found this to be totally unnecessary under the circumstances.
