So the other day I wanted a needed a change in shampoo so I got Pantene, nicely sized bottle with 25% extra free, buy one get one free, yes! So I got the one specially used for greasy hair, so I used it that nice and woke up and during the day realised my hair was stuck to my head and stiff.
I ignored this and the next day my hair was like someone dropped a bottle of olive oil on my hair and my hair was stuck in clumps. It was HORRIBLE. I quickly change dshampoos and it has taken me three washes with Herbal Essences to try and get my hair back to the normal volume, fullness and shineyness. Argh, terrible! I really would not recommended this brand at all. Pantene has proven a fail.

I have been using pantene pro v for women of color for about two months and i started noticing how my hair around the edges are starting to break off very badly, also my husband notice that when i was out he could see the the gray in my hair had started to turn brown. The original full and thick which stated "get up to 35% more fullness" was been great since it came out, until the conditioner was reformulated with the introduction of it's new bottle a few years ago, and now the bottles have been changed again and the shampoo quality has suffered severely and 35% fullness has been left off the label, rightly so. It leaves my hair limp and flat. Watering down products called "cutting" has been around for hundreds of years, and greed has turned companies to use ...

I love Pantene Pro V i use it on my clients all the time (yes i am a hair dresser to) and i think it works better on colored hair right after its colored because it restores the moisture. so personally as a hairdresser i like this product. overall I'm happy with this product.

It's deceiving! for about 6 months it was great! I have rather thin hair but it definitely made it softer and it wouldn't get greasy as fast. I soon began to notice that my hair started to break off at the roots. My hair dresser asked me if I was using Pantene. He was like...well, that's your problem! Once I stopped using Pantene I could dracstically see the differences in my hair.

I agree with what everyone else has said excluding the dandruff, I am very fortunate to have missed out on that part! But the dryness and the breakage is BAD! At first it makes your hair all shiny and smooth but after a couple of months my ends started frizzing up to the point where I had to get about 2 and 1/2 inches of my hair cut. It was horrible, and now I'm using something else. Warning: Do Not fall for the commercials!

I am ashamed to admit this, but I am actually someone who falls for advertisements, whether it's from TV or from magazines, I fall HARD. When I saw this shampoo ad on tv for Pantene Pro V, I almost jumped out of my seat and ran to the store to buy my shampoo. I fell for the beautiful Kelly Ripa modeling the shampoo. But I was so wrong. When I started using this shampoo for the first time, I loved it, it made my hair feel silky and beautiful. However, after a couple of washes, my hair started dev ...

I have been using Pantene for a year or so now and after reading so many bad stuff about this product I am very scared of using it.
I see no difference in my hair eg loss of hair maybe I should try a different product.

I've been using the new line of Pantene Pro-V Relaxed and Natural for about 1 month now. My hair is very thick and calling it coarse would be an understatement. It's like Brillo. Seriously. Plus I've been blessed to form Shirley Temple like curls after washing my hair before it draws up to my head. It's horrible people. This product has tranformed my hair entirely. It's smoother, easier to comb through and with the use of their Daily Moisturizing Cream my ends are less frizzy and that keeps ...

I enjoy using Pantene Pro-V but I have some friends who it does not work for. Sensitive scalps and dyed hair is what it does not work for. If you have natural colour hair its perfect. I give it a 6 because it's great for me but not so much for a few mates. I would give it a try though.

My hair dresser asked what shampoo I used and when I said, Pantene Pro V, she said, That's your problem. That over time, Pantene dries the hair and it becomes unmanageable. I found information that said Pantene Shampoos have "cones" in it that coats the hair and makes it feel good and look shiny. They neglected to say that over time, the "cones" (or silicone) dry your hair out. I know it's true! And I would not recommend any of the Pantene products to anyone.

I like using Pantene Pro V as it leaves my hair smooth and soft, even if I don't use conditioner all the time.

I die my hair somtimes but I love using Pantene Pro V. My main reason for not liking Pantene is because if you use it, and then dye your hair the silicon melts the die.

I started using Pantene Pro V Shampoo about 4 months ago and after the first month I started to get dandruff really really bad and now I can't get it to go away. Its so embarrassing that I won't even wear black anymore. I'm only 17, and its a terrible thing that my hair is already damaged. I agree that pantene makes your hair look beautiful, but what it does to it is awful.

I didn't like Patene Pro V. It left my hair dry, frizzy and weak. After using it i was informed that pantene puts silicon in its shampoos... That's why your hair stays shiny the first few washes.

I found that when i started using Pantene Pro V that it was excellent at the beginning, but as I got further through the bottle my hair started feeling greasy and oily and make it look awful. I refuse to use it now as I have heard that it coats your hair in silicone, which apparently is not good at all.

I decided to try Pantene Pro V 2 in 1 product, for the convience of having my creme rinse and shampoo together, it took me twice as long to remove the tangles from my hair than any other 2in1 product I have ever used, it also made my hair look dry and flyaway. I will not buy this product again

Unfortunately for me,I used Pantene for about 4 months. My hair started falling out rapidly (I'm 20 ) and even though I quit using Pantene for about 7 months now, my hair still comes out! (not as bad though) This hair care product starts out nice, and really makes you think you're getting a great deal. But there are harsh chemicals in the shampoos/conditioners, that suffocate the hair follicle, making it fall out in rapid numbers. I'm not joking anyone. I bought the a whole line of Pantene produ ...
