This is the worst shampoo i have ever used. After using it my hair got coated in a waxy residue. i had to wash my hair with a washing up liquid to be able to get rid of this horrible stuff as no other shampoo could clean it. PLEASE DO NOT BUY PANTENE. (read more)

I have used this on my coloured hair for 15 years. My hair is very long and the colour care shampoo and conditioner always left it smooth, soft and silky. I go to festivals a lot and even after 4 days it still looked brilliant. Now I have tangled, frizzy, flyaway dry hair even when it is freshly washed. Thanks, this product was excellent now I have to find something to restore my hair back to health. I will never buy this again it is a danger to my hair!!! (read more)

Finally I found a shampoo that worked really well for my hair, until they changed the formula that is. I was using Pantene Beautiful Lengths for the longest time and loved it. Recently I bought the new formula and my hair felt greasy and heavy after washing, I also tried washing it again thinking I hadn't rinsed it well. The new formula does just the opposite to my hair than the old one did. Instead of feeling light and silky it now feels heavy, dank and lifeless. It's actually very difficult to get a comb through it when wet and when dry is unmanageable!! I could get better results by just using soap! It also smells awful in the shower with a very artificial and acrid 'appley' odour which makes one want to gag. Why ever did you change this formula Pantene? It's awful! Bring back the old one!!! I suffer from Psoriasis have done for 40+yrs so am very carefull what I use on my skin, have used Pantene for years with no problem untill now. I normally buy my shampoo and conditioner in bulk whenever thay are on offer, and have only just got round to using the new formula shampoo (I started the conditioner a while ago) and I am so disappointed. I think the new packaging is excellent but the product is horrible. It leaves my hair lank and it looks like I haven't washed it in ages. I have been using Pantene Repair and Protect Shampoo and Conditioner for years. Bought the new formular Repair and Protect Shampoo and Conditioner and it is terrible. I will not be using it again until its back to its old formular. It has made my hair so dry and lifeless. It used to look so good and I always got comments from people saying how nice my hair looked. I have used Pantene shampoo and conditioner for years, the new shampoo doesn't lather up the same and it leaves your hair looking greasy and lank. I couldn't figure out what was wrong at first, it didn't lather so I ended up using twice as much , but that didn't make any difference. Me and my family been using it for 20 years but the new formula is rubbish not only do you have too use twice the amount as it no long lavers up but it leaves your hair looking like you haven't washed it for a month! I have been using Pantene for years and have now had to change. It must be a cost saving excercise on the part of manufacturer but it will cost them more. I know so many people who have now stopped using Pantene as like me it leaves your head dull and lifeless. I have need using this product for 25 year's the shampoo and conditioner always gave my fine hair full of body and the condioner was the only one to get knot's out of my hair since 2009 the product stink's hair look's like I didn't wash it no body no shine and I tried all their conditioner's and left them in my hair for 10 minute's before rinsing out and still had knot's why did they change their formula to save money well they are going to lose alot of unhappy customer's. all the family have used this for at least 15 to 20 years and it's been excellent... the one for normal Hair is what we used. Along with the new packaging they have definitely changed the formula, it now leaves hair dry and matted feeling unwashed actually. BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA this is complete rubbish and we will not be buying it again. (read more)

Just used the new formula Pantene Pro V 2 in 1 and I'm really disappointed. Apart from the new packaqing there is nothing I now like about this product it smells too fruity and didn't haved the normal luxurious feel when lathering, leaving my hair feeling limp and dull. After loving the old product for years I'll now need to start looking for another shampoo. Any recommendations? (read more)

I used pantene in my younger days and it wasn't bad but I did notice a bit more of hair fall than usual so I stopped.Then I went back and noticed that now not only do I seem to shed everywhere I also have breakouts on my now itchy scalp and sticky,greasy,oil patches throughout my hair that seems to get worse the more I try to wash it out. I've used Pantene for years, so was dissapointed to see that not only have they changed the packaging but it seems they've changed the formula too. Instead of making my hair soft and managable the new product makes my hair feel stiff and sticky, I'll not be buying it again. (read more)

I agree wholeheartedly. I've used 2 in 1 for years and loved the way it made my hair silky and shiny. Not so the new product, which makes it look dull and feel harsh and almost stiff, as if I'd left it full of styling product.

My hair feels greasy and it don't feel like it cleans down to the roots. I washed it 3 time and it still didn't feel clean. I also got pimples all over my scalp and my head itches. I rather use white rain then Pantene again. (read more)

I have fine hair but a lot of hair. My hair gets oily fast and I have to wash it every day. Because of the constant blow drying my hair gets super dry. I used pantene in the 90s and used to love it. I normally buy the volume shampoo from Pro-V but I thought I would give it a shot and try the "volume and color protector in one" OMG I was so upset every time I used it. I bought the medium-thick dry to moisturized conditioner. It really dried my hair out so I did the pro-v challenge to try to get my money back. They gave me the run around. I have been a happy full time user of Full & Thick for years. I went to the suggested new Dry to Moisturized and my hair had so much static that even a dryer sheet on my hair couldn't tame it. I'd like to give this half of a star, but that option was not available. I don't know how anyone can rave or recommend Pantene. ALL of their products suck. I remember once i bought this product because of the appealing packaging and the advertisements on Pantene Pro were big. So yes i bought it but this product it's HORRIBLE. Once it dried it was super dry no shinyness, frizzy and poofy! ughhh and i had to have my hair that way for weeks until i finished the bottle according to my parents... I don't understand why everyone is complaining about how it's making their hair greasy (I by the way have extremely greasy hair so I have to wash it everyday). When I first tried this product it was amazing how soft my hair was, I couldn't stop playing with it. I use the Flat to Volume for Fine Hair shampoo and conditioner. I have been a very loyal Pantene customer since it first came out 15+ years ago. Since they have changed to the new formula, I will NEVER use it again. Before this most recent change, I found Pantene great, but I started using the new "Medium to Thick" shampoo/conditioner and my opinion drastically changed. My hair started coming out in the shower at a much higher rate than ever before. I thought it might be stress or change in diet or something, so I ignored it, but then a friend suggested it was my shampoo's fault. My hair was getting worn out from dying it, using chemicals, curling irons, straightening irons, tightly pulling my hair up, tying my hair up when wet, etc. After using Pantene Pro V one time, I could already FEEL a difference in my hair. It felt stronger, softer, shinier, and the dried out feeling was GONE. The second time using it, my BOYFRIEND even noticed how beautiful my hair was and couldn't stop running his fingers through it. The original full and thick which stated "get up to 35% more fullness" was been great since it came out, until the conditioner was reformulated with the introduction of it's new bottle a few years ago, and now the bottles have been changed again and the shampoo quality has suffered severely and 35% fullness has been left off the label, rightly so. It's deceiving! for about 6 months it was great! I have rather thin hair but it definitely made it softer and it wouldn't get greasy as fast. I soon began to notice that my hair started to break off at the roots. My hair dresser asked me if I was using Pantene. He was like...well, that's your problem! OMG, I thought I was the only one with this experience. At first I thought it was my hair but realised that it must be the new Pantene product. It also leaves my hair greasy after washing and it looks and feels worse after drying. I will not buy Pantene anymore that is for sure. Their products are so expensive so one would think that it is a good brand. I am definitely changing my brand. Very disappointed as I have been using Pantene for years now.
