    The Baumatic BT2460 is a big oven, fast mode with fan assist, powerful burners, looks good, tough though hard to clean burner/hob rack, markings on knobs and front plate rub off with cleaning can not see the settings any more. It was cheap when I bought it compared to others and it has now done 5 1/2 years of hard use, the house has been rented and up to 7 adults lived in the house at one time. The oven has survived really quite well.

    Where do i start??? The gas top is fine but I have had nothing but trouble with the oven. This is my second replacement oven and I know another lady who has had 4 replacements. We didn't start well, when the first oven arrived there were no racks and the clock did not work. after replacing the clock, the whole oven did not work. The door is bowed and have several replacements and it is still happening. one time when they sent a new door, they sent the wrong size and it was smashed to bits. Sev ...

    The Baumatic BT2460 is the worst domestic appliance I have ever bought. Granted it looks good and the gas hob is fine, but the electric oven is a disaster. It's is very obviously underpowered because of the length of time it takes to warm up, and in 2 years it has blown it's way through 2 oven elements (hardly a co-incidence) Baumatic customer services are so bad that they just make you even angrier than you were when the machine broke down (but then they are probably used to people compl ...

    I would advise everyone to keep clear of Baumatic and the Baumatic BT2460. In 2 years we replaced 3 coils (which are under sized for the oven), the door blew out and got almost complete indiference from the company representaives. Oven not very effective even when working. The guarantee (which you pay £40 each year for) does not give a time limit within which any repair work will be completed. As the spares come from Italy and the factory closes down for 3 monthe in the summer, like us ...
