Checked on internet for this Zanussi TCE7276W and found these reviews, so I decided to fix it myself. Found a company online called "4Zanussi" based in the UK. With the unit unplugged from the mains, I removed the top panel (two screws at the rear). Removed the water tank from the front and the two screws that we revealed once the tank was removed, plus two more on the top (visible now the top panel was removed) and then gently eased the front display panel out taking care not to break any tabs. ...

Our Zanussi TCE7276W condensing drier failed to start for the first time after about 3 years of fairly heavy usage. Having accessed this web site I checked the operation of the start button directly on the pcb and it worked OK. Checking the clear plastic "diode diffuser", I could see that the part that supplied the spring return as well as transferring the button operation to the pcb had broken. I have temporarily repaired it with a No.10 plastic rawlplug but have ordered a replacement from 4apo ...

We've had ours for about 3 years when one day it refused to start. Showed error code but Zanussi would not say what it meant. Web search indicated that on washing machines the code meant a motor failure. Given that it only has light use and being an engineer ( refusing to pay for excessive call out charges, incompetent work and then having to wait for parts) I took it apart to find the ribbed drive belt shredded. On a car these belts should last for 50,000 mile minimum so I looked for cause to f ...

I hardly ever used the Zanussi TCE7276W tumble drier 5 times a year, for about 5 years, as I had other machines and the wind outside.

However, I now try to use it, and it always blows cold. I fiddled about and realised that it was a button fault!

But I am loathe to spend 35.00 on callout etc., only to be told it's dead, so I abandoned it. So thank you for telling me it's a PCB failure. I have just had to replace one on my boiler, so I will not bother trying to get it fixed.

    Shape up Z ...

On OFF button failed after 16 months.
Turns out that like other reviewers the plastic strip behind the buttons was at fault. Contacted Zanussi supplied Serial No and Model No and lo and behold - design fault and Zanussi sent out an engineer who contacted me the next day and within 24 hours came out and mended the unit free of charge.

Like others, we've also been affected by he defective button assembly problem, although we didn't know this initially. I called a local engineer out and was told that the problem was the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) which was defective and that this would cost upwards of £200 to repair, as it had to be ordered and installed by Zanussi's own repair service (Service Force - http://www.serviceforce.co.uk). I paid the man his £25 callout charge (which I thought was reasonable) and resolve ...

I, like many others, had the Zanussi TCE7276W dryer break down just outside of warranty, with the same broken button problem others have described here. I fixed mine myself, replacing the broken plastic with a solid plastic bar (actually a plastic screw mount) - which by the look of the design should have been what Zanussi used.

The plastic looks like it was designed to break over time, as the thin transparent plastic is less than a millimeter thick where it did eventually break. The plastic ...

The Zanussi TCE7276W had been an excellent tumble dryer until the button failure, which repairers will tell you is a pcb fault and charge £100+ to fix. In reality the fault is actually a very flimsy, brittle plastic moulding between buttons, and the pcb which fails in time depending on usage. I fixed it by modifying and extending the on/off button with a short piece of rubber tube, which then pressed the switch onto the pcb. It now works fine again!

Seems to me that there are a fair few owners reporting problem with the Zanussi TCE7276W. The start button stopping working at about 13 - 14 months. The suspected cause is a circuit board which we have been quoted £134.90 for replacement.

Get your act together Zanussi this sort of built is obsolesence in this day and age is very, very poor.
