    Ive had this Hotpoint TDL54 tumble dryer over 5yrs and its never let me down,the dryer sensor is fantastic it works brill and would always recomend hotpoint,the only downfall with this machine is that you cant use sheet fabric softener in it because it goes straight under the door and in to the filter but overall its a brill machine

    Today my Hotpoint TDL54 started smoking! Glad I was at home - on inspection the seal around the back of the drum had started to melt. Not keen on buying another Hotpoint because of this and do not recommend.

    The sensor does not work for the Hotpoint TDL54 despite numerous visits by a hotpoint engineer. In addition the timer is limited to 60 minutes as they assume you will be using the sensor - so we are very frustrated by it.
