I am in love with my Diana! This thing is mad powerful and deadly accurate times 10. I had mine hitting dime and quarter patterns from 30 yards. I shot straight through a sheet of half inch ply
Wood and a metal cabinet at the same time with gamo pba raptures. This thing is flat out bad ass!

I've had the RWS 48 .22 cal with original equipment RWS 4-32 compact scope and two-piece mounting rings s for about a year and have fired about 2000 rounds through it. This is a good choice for a field gun with excellent accuracy and impressive hitting power. I can hit match heads at 15 yards consistently and at 40 yards shoot 1 inch groups with RWS 22 cal. hollow points all day long. The only hunting I've done is the occasional nuisance squirrel, but it hits like a mack truck with the hollow ...

If I were to buy another rifle it would be a RWS. They have their stuff together in my book! You won't be disappointed with the 48.

Good feel, easy cocking but hard to seat pellet has barrel tube like cheap rifles. Over priced.

This is one of the most popular supermagnums, obviously. I've had mine now for 8 months. I broke mine in with a good mix of Superdomes and Beeman 8.8gr FTS- Superdomes perform flawlessly at 8.3gr at a high velocity of 872fps Beeman FTS at 842fps. Super smooth action, and firing cycle-just like I like it- solid. Sighted in at 10yds (30ft) - fts and Superdomes cross zero again at 50yds- powerful gun. I love this air rifle. It's scoped -mount Beeman one piece-(loctite is a must). Sorry, by now you ...

Great gun! I would recommend the RWS 48 to everyone. I own a .22 caliber. I shoot with Crosman Premier hp's/ft's. After about 350-400 shots when I could hit a beer can all day with open sights, I mounted a Leapers 3-12x44 scope. 20-25 shots later, I had dime size groups at 50yds. Since then I have shot about 200 plus rounds, and have not adjusted the scope even 1 click. I have killed woodchucks, raccoons, birds, and squirrels. Neck shots are 1 shot kills. The gun is heavy, but it makes it easy t ...

This gun is so incredible I have it in .177 and contrary to belief it is not too powerful for that small caliber. This gun hits and hits hard! I must stress the lose hold technique it is very important. With heavy Beeman Crow Magnums or Beeman Silver Arrows it is amazingly accurate. We are talking sub dime sized groups at 30 yards and quarter sized groups at 50 the .177 achieves this with no holdover what so ever even with 11.3 grain silver arrows. This gun does have a large amount of recoil but ...

The first stages of owning this gun can be a little bit frustrating if you aren't familiar with this particular rifle, but once you get it broke in, sighted in with unmovable mounts, and get used to shooting this gun you will love it. It is a hard hitting, accurate, and reliable rifle, with tons of power for pest control, and excellent accuracy for target practice and plinking. I feel it is one of the more accurate rifles from Diana because it is a fixed barrel design, not a break barrel. The .2 ...

How does one objectively review an air rifle that arrives broken and -- after being "serviced" -- arrives broken once again? I'll do my best to remain objective.

Ordered the Diana 48 in .22 new, unused from a dealer online. Out of the box, the rifle had a cocking problem as well as two gouges in the wooden stock. The sidelever would cock about 3/4 of the way, and then stop cold. No reasonable amount of force would move the lever any further, and the only option was to pull back on the sid ...

Overall this is an excellent value for the money. I purchased mine at Cabelas and got a very good sale price. The kit came with an RWS one piece C-mount and RWS 4 x 32 AO scope. The AO scope was an upgrade.

The first issue noted was the stop pin in the scope mount did not line up with the hole in the gun's scope mount rail. The hole and pin are off center from side to side, and impossible to assemble. I opted to assemble the scope mount rearward and up against the protruding screw head a ...

Had this rifle for a few weeks now. At first pretty hard to sight in, had to get a boresighter. The rifle is really heavy. If you are not strong and plan on carrying it around a lot, consider another rifle. The rifle itself weights 8.5lbs, i have a one piece adjustable beeman mount and a bsa 3-12x40, so with that, it weighs almost 10lbs. Plus I also have a muzzle stabilizer which weighs another 9ounce.
Sighting it is a it hard. The one piece beeman adjustable mount is hard to adjust because yo ...

i have the Diana .177 model 48 with a BSA 3-12x44 AO and just broke it in ( took about 1000-1500 shots), hitting 2 inch targets (roughly the size of a squirrel's head) with no problem at 60 yards. This rifle does take time not only to break in, but also learn to shoot, just be patient. After adjusting the trigger this gun became very accurate with reproducable shots. just dont rest the gun on something hard to aim off of, use a sandbag, towel, or shirt. The model 48 coupled with the BSA 44mm AO ...

Just over a year ago I wrote a review of the .177 Diana 48. In that review I stated;"I like this gun alot, so much that I may end up with one in .22cal as well!" Well, I have indeed realized that goal when about a month ago I purchased a .22cal Diana 48. In the short time I've had the rifle, I've managed to run about 750rnds through it and though the rifle did go through a "break in period" it seemed to be accurate out of the box with only a few shots producing a small amount of smoke.

Bought the RWS Diana 48 in .22 as a replacement for a Gamo 200 combo in .177. The RWS is surprisingly more accurate than the Gamo. I can easily hit the ten spot from ten meters away. This airgun in .22 caliber is quite loud. It is louder than the Gamo. Expect your next door neighbors to wonder what is going on over the fence. Using RWS Hobby pellets, I can easily kill squirrels with one shot from 45 yards. Even though the RWS is rated at 39 lbs of cocking force, it seems easier than the Gamo at ...

I have collected several RWS Diana air rifles & pistols, and purchased a Model 48 from Cabela's approximately 6 months ago.

This is fitted with a Beeman one-piece double screw scope mount which is fully adjustable for windage and elevation, and a 4X32 BSA AR Scope with AO.

If you are considering mounting a scope on this rifle a good quality one-piece mount is recommended. The RWS 48 has quite a sharp recoil which quickly sorts out low quality two piece mounts and sends them to the junk d ...

Three years ago, I picked up a 22. Cal. RWS Diana M-48 with an RWS scope brand new for just over $400.00 out the door. Since then, I have fired some 9000+ pellets with this gun. It has been used for hunting, plinking, and target shooting. It has seen all types of outdoor weather including summer heat, winter cold, snow, and rain. With this practical experience under the belt, I feel that an assessment of the RWS M-48, and my investment in it, can now be made. I'll get straight to the point. The ...

I've had the Diana Model 48 in .177cal for about six weeks now and put about 1000 pellets through it. From reading and listening to peoples comments on the rifle, I learned that accuracy and consistency would become better after the rifle had enough pellets through it to wear in the power plant and burn off any excess lubes. So I took the time to learn how to hold and shoot the gun properly by firing about 600 rounds through it. Sure enough the gun smoothed out and accuracy improved over time an ...

Review is for standard RWS Diana Model 48, .177 caliber, as imported into the U.S.. Side lever cocking with fixed barrel. Claimed 1100 fps velocity.

This is and should be one of the standards in adult air rifles. A definite step up from the more common Model 34 break-barrel, but still modest in appearance vs. the fancier 50s models. A very meaty air rifle that seems Garand in spirit.

Owning both break-barrel and this side-lever model, I find the side-lever action of the 48 to have a mo ...

Overall the Diana is a fantastic pellet, my rifle could not ask for more. I tried 5 types of pellets as suggested by most gun makers. 4 out of 5 left ragged holes for 6 shot groups at 25 feet.
The 5th was a one holer!

I bought my Diana 48 second hand about 2 weeks ago and ever since I haven't stopped hunting the bunnies. This is a very accurate gun and although it is heavier than other brands of airgun on the wide ranged market, its weight is made up for with power and accuracy. 25-30 yard headshots on rabbits are not a problem. I think that anyone interesting in starting hunting should get this gun as it is fine for both beginners and professionals. It is powerful, accurate and most of all it is reliable. Ac ...
