Good Points: Ericsson A2618s - until recently reasonably pleased with it. Its the first and only mobile I've had. It appeared to be robust, reasonably easy to use and with good clarity............

Bad Points: For no reason it now diplays "No access" and despite all attempts to unlock this state, I have been unsuccessful. O2Cellnet havn't been able to identify the problem either. I'm at my wits end!! All the functions appear to still work, I've got a strong signal but can I call anyone or text....no I bloody can't! If anyone out there can help please let me know. The phone's got a stay of execution, but not for much longer.

General comments: Not much more to add really - as a mobile and an early model at that, not too bad really. Obviously by modern standards its big, heavy and not particularly pretty, but then its not over complicated and the buttons are easy to use. It would be nice if it held its battery charge for longer.

This was the first phone I had, and I was over the moon with it. But after a month things started to go wrong, the aerial kept breaking and falling out randomly, and the final straw was when it had to be sent back twice, and the second time they wanted to charge me, it wasnt worth it...

This is horrible mobile phone. How can something like that be sold? Too big antenna (you can go fishing with it), plastic keypad can't be worse (that CLEAR button is joke), battery goes crazy (you never know what's going to happen next) and software is a nightmare (you need a half an hour to write an sms with 5 words)! After I throw it into wall, I borrowed old, legendary Siemens S10. Big monster but works in every aspect. With it, after Eric A2618 I feel like I'am on vacation...
    Beware of it! ...

I don't know wether my problem is with the phone or my Orange pay as you go service.
Problem:- My phone intermitantly (Getting more frequent) looses it's network connection and displays "No Access"
Orange seem to be unable to tell meexactly what the problem is. Orange's latest answer is " that there may be a problem with my local tranmiter, I fail to see why this should affect my phone while in other parts of the country.
Any enlightenment on this problem would be most appreciated. ...

I had to have my Ericsson A2618 mobile phone replaced under warranty, because the battery kept running flat, and the screen would say it was charging when it wasn't even plugged into the charger. Now the REPLACEMENT phone has just died, after less than 4 months - same thing, battery runs flat fast, and it won't charge up AT ALL when plugged into the charger - it's completely dead. Unfortunately this has put me off ever getting another Ericsson.

The Ericsson A2618 mobile phone is not worth the money as, with mine, it broke almost straight away.

This Ericsson A2618 is a very good phone, exept a minor problem that the screen light did not work on my phone but I took it back and they gave me a new one. Otherwise I am happy with the phone so far. Good strong keys and not one button operations. The big aerial contributes to better reception.

The problem with my Ericsson A2618 phone STARTED when I plugged it in to charge it. Keyboard started becoming erratic. The phone would lock up on a few keys. Now none of the keys work except the ON/OFF. Still get sms messages but can't read it or send a reply as the keyboard doesn't work. Think something shorted out?

To think that i never even dropped the cellphone even once. Thats why this cellphone SUCKS!!!!! it robbed me of my money period! Now, i'm using it as an ash tray, coz thats what its good for.....

The Ericsson A2618 is an excellent phone...total value for money. For what i spent i got all i wanted. Good battery life, good reception the works. The menu system is easy, i don't know who would find it hard to navigate, if an option is too far to reach ...get it into the shortcut tab!
The phones covers are really cool, maybe they are a bit scarce but not half as much as people think, i've seen upto 5 different colours available, i have a green pepper cover and its gorgeous. If you consider th ...

Avoid getting this phone or any sagems for that matter. Motorolas are ok but if you want one that you'll be content with for life go for a nokia or siemens.
