“Thermostat nightmare, and non exsistent customer service”

This was my third hotpoint/creda double oven with solarplus grill in top oven. Top oven is fine and works like all my others. Bottom oven on fan has thermostat problems. One side of the oven cooks a victoria sandwich 3 minutes quicker than the other. ( I always place my tins side by side as I have done for the past 40 years). Hotpoint refuse to accept that this is a problem. They say that thermostats in their cooker have a tolerance of plus or minus 15 degreesC. Also dials are very... (read more)

easy to use, look great espacially the mirror finish. cooked whole chrismtmas dinner with plenty of room and the fan oven was fast.
have to clean/wipe front of oven after cooking to keep it looking good as it have the mirror finish. (read more)

Had this Hotpoint BD62 oven 2 weeks and performance poor. The 16 year old oven I disposed of performed better than this oven. Engineer came out, discovered one element not working, Hotpoint did exchange like for like so will wait and see how the replacement performs. (read more)

The Hotpoint BD62 is efficient, stays clean and looks good. Good design. Had it for 3 or 4 years with no problems at all. Used at least once a day. Still looks great and has very reliable results. Cooking settings very versatile. (read more)

Do not buy this device under any circumstances. Although no problems with it functionally, the loss of thermostat is clearly a design issue, which Hotpoint refuses to acknowledge. (read more)
