Bad Points: No colour display and not easy to use by guys with big palms and fat fingers..

General comments: I loved my chintu little GD55 Black & White which I owned in the years 2004 and 2005. Finally it stopped working but because of my mistake - I took it during a rain treck but did not cover it in plastic. Till that point it was working very well. It was the smallest size in the world and I loved the convenience it had due to its extra small size.. If Panasonic continues this model, I'd love to buy the color display version.

The reason I chose this phone was for the small size and light weight making it easy to carry in a pocket. However I don't recommend this phone as the back has a tendency to fall off which isn't good when you're waiting on a call or text. It can also be slow at sending texts and sometimes I'm notified of an incoming message but it won't open! Many other flaws too

The Panasonic GD55 has a nice style and that but very expensive for texts and going on internet and stuff!

This is meant for ONLY calling and emergency. If you want the basics, it's here. Meant for only small fingers. I just remembered I heard there was a speaker for this. I have to check up on that. I have to say I LOVE this phone. My sister thought it looked like a toy. She is more into mp3 and camera while I am more for basic usage. I got it for $60 on eBay used and got a faceplate for $10.

This little cellphone looks nice and all, but it isn't the best. I think you have to pay $0.10 for text messaging? I'm not sure though. My mom bought me this. For beginners like myself, it's a bit hard to use. The buttons are small too. I'm having a bit of trouble with ring tones, and wallpapers.

I have owned a Panasonic GD55 for about 6 months now, and overall I have to say that it is a very good phone, with only a few flaws.
The phone comes with 30 good-quality polyphonic ringtones, and you can compose 5 ringtones, also polyphonic. The size, shape and design of the phone is generally feminine, and is very useful in that it can fit almost anywhere, e.g. in your pocket or a small bag. However for some people the size may prove to be a difficulty, because it can be difficult to talk ...

Like most people who have plumped for the GD55, my initial reason for doing so was the attractiveness of the size and weight of this phone. Having previously owned a Panasonic GD67, which gave me countless problems after a period of about 4 months and unrepairable by the centralised Panasonic repair centre, I decided to opt for the GD55. How so wrong a decision that has proved to be! After 7 months the phone has developed a complete mind of its own and is currently unuseable for anything! The GD ...

when i first started using this Panasonic GD55 mobile phone i loved it because of its cute size, good quality ringtones and nice backgrounds. i found that the ringtone composer was very easy to use, with a number of instruments to select from. however i text my friends a lot, and i have to admit this phone is a bit difficult to text with for new users. the keys are very close together making it easy to slip and press the wrong key. also, if you stop moving or if you press a random button after a ...

I was impressed by the size and the looks of the Panasonic GD55. The mobile phone has a number of feature you hardly expect in a phone this small (like the speaker phone) and the battery power is truely exceptional. However after a while u will find out that if the party ur calling is engaged, the phone doesnt redial or even ask if you want to redial. I couldnt believe panasonic would have overlooked this option. And what is the use of profiles if u have to use 10 key presses to reach it?

On the surface the Panasonic GD55 seams like quite a sexy little phone- very compact, cute and stylish. After a few weeks use however, once the inital appeal has started to wear off its usabilty really starts to get annoying. With it being so small, the buttons are very tiny. This obviously brings usabilty problems to which panasonic have addded to by using domed buttons that course your fingers to slide off and push something else. Also you have to push the buttons in a long way to get them to ...

I am just a basic user of mobile phones. The things that are important to me is making/receiving calls, sending/receiving text messages, internet connectivity, (even if it's not GPRS which in this case it's not), alarm, calculator and some type of organiser. With the Panasonic GD55 I was not let down in any way whatsoever, except for one glaring omission and one minor gripe. The glaring omission is that the organiser (or scheduler) does not give you an audible warning at all. In other words, it' ...

The size of the Panasonic GD55 is great which is good, the sound is loud but i cant find any ringtones for it and if you go on the wap it wastes your money and you still cant get any ringtones.

The Panasonic GD55 is overall a good phone with plenty of features - except just having the one game is a bit disappointing. If anyone knows about there being a character counter available, please email me @ lilyloo@merseymail.com Thanks :)

I was reading the rest of the reviews about the Panasonic GD55- and for some reason, I can't relate to the others who claim that this phone has bad reception and drops calls! I have a Swisscom Global SIM and have used it all over this darn planet. I have gotten fabulous reception from San Diego to Stockholm... I was told by a tech at Swisscom that the reception does not have anything to do with the phone - but the carrier that you use... so all you cheapies be forewarned. ;)

The Panasonic GD55 Mobile Phone really is a great phone with a few drawbacks. The first is, is that I can not be notified that I have a voicemail like my old nokia. When I get a voicmail, my phone tells me I have a text message, and then the message says "@" and that's it. So, I then have to call my voicemail number to get my voicemails, which is kind of inconvenient because my nokia was able to automatically take me right to my voicemail with one button. Other then that, I really enjoy it. ...
